Knoppix 3.8 support the UnionFS support, imagine having a HDDs with FAT32, NTFS, EXT3 filesystems and CD-ROMs ISO 9660 directories are unionlise (or merge) into the a single directory.

ls -al /single_view

Display files/directories of HDD's with FAT32, NTFS, EXT3, and CD-ROM ISO 9660
