Hostel rents do not count according to your semester unless you shall be graduating. Since different programmes have different study periods. You sign a contract for a year for the Hostels and even if you do not stay there during semester holidays you are obliged to pay rent during your contract's duration.

Looking at it from their position, you reserving a room but not paying for it and them not being able to rent it to somebody else and nobody would want to rent for that short duration of your sem break, they would be the one making a big loss and not everybody go home during sem break furthermore with each program having different breaks and study periods it would complicate things to implement such a system.

hum I don't have the specifics with me currently but it will generally cost you around 70k+ for three years full tuition + misc fees.
Expect a slight increase for 2011, the fees should be out around late next month.
