I called Taylor's two times yesterday and one time today, their counseler is always busy. They promised to call me back later but yet, sigh.

I think I will just ask here instead. I am going for Software Engineering, the intake on the brochure is 21th. I am staying quite far from Taylor, so it's impossible for me to enroll before the class started. Can I enroll at 21th and pay the fees? Is 21th the start of the class or just the orientation.

Thanks for answering.

Software Engineering? There's no Software Engineering course in TU.
Your planning to go for Comp Science and then transfer to RMIT?
Why can't you come to TU before the 21st? Where do you live that's so far away?
21st is first day of orientation, you can still enroll on that day provided there are still places in the course which usually there are.

Yes, Computer science then Software engineering at RMIT. I am going there at 20th, night.

So that's mean I can enroll at 21th during Orientation then? Glad to hear that.

where do you live? Is it near any of the regional offices? You can register at those places as well or far from those as well.
Yeah you can register on that day considering your circumstances is not weird eg. you did not do some weird pre-u.

No I am not living anywhere near the regional offices. I already visit Taylor's Uni once few weeks back. They already give me a counsel about it, so I don't think I will have problem with it. I am registering using my A-levels result BTW.

Thanks for answering my query, really helpful.

I'm kinda confused though. Why is it that i don't see any of these following programme in the School of Communication's prospectus? Because i wish to check on Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Public Relations and Marketing) modules and study structure.

-Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Advertising)
-Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Public Relations)
-Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Broadcasting)
-Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Public Relations and Marketing)
-Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) (Public Relations and Event Management)
-Bachelor of Arts (Additional Subjects)

Because those programmes are still pending MOHE approval to start so they don't advertise it in prospectuses and websites yet. You have to go and talk to a counsellor to know about it.

Yes and no. You shall be handled on a case-by-case basis and you'll need at least a Distinction average to be considered.Taylor's has links with the University of Melbourne for teaching of their business Masters programme and also for some other programmes but links as in articulation agreements I'm not aware of.
Monash and RMIT in Melbourne also accepts TBF though for Monash you won't be able to go to Clayton or Caufield since those want year 12 math.

Bristol Business School is quite a good Business School but if you look overall it's an average Uni nevertheless Taylor's is one of the best IPTS out there ^^

I can assure you that Taylor's is a very good University.
and from where did you hear those rumours, from what is it based on? Who told you that? Usually people saying that don't even go to Taylor's and they say that based on looking at the fees assuming only people who are rich go to Taylor's ignoring tons of people under scholarships and loans and they are also assuming majority of people from rich familie are spoilt. You can find spoilt brats in any institution, even in cheaper colleges like TAR College and even if you do get some spoilt classmates you don't see them in class to often =P
this is my experience,
I have only met a handfull of people who fit the rumours of spoilt brats in Taylor's that people usually describe being a lot in Taylor's and even then don't go around looking down on people for not being able to afford certain stuff, the most they irritate most people is they don't show up when you need them to be around to do work and having a hard time to contact them or wait till last minute than tell the group they didn't do anything yet >_<"
The more usual spoilt brats you'll meet are the kind that are ignorant types rather than the type who likes to show off.
Take note Taylor's has over ten thousand students. You don't expect everybody in a community to be angels do you, and you won't be branding a whole community bad cause of a few bad apples would you?

sometime can get them to belanja you ahaha =P

I was studying there up until last year. I'm continuing my studies in the University of Queensland right now.
Well for ADP since you don't really study the major stuff in Malaysia and only do that after you transfer to the US, it doesn't really make a difference where you do ADP. The difference is among them is probably just a slight difference in strucuture and the list of partners they have. For ADP I heard Taylor's has some pretty good Universities on their list you can transfer to in the US but I think INTI has the most number of choices. I think there's a thread comparing ADP between a few popular places deep inside this subforum somewhere, try searching for it I can't quite remember the details ^^"

I was in the business school.
I'm happy with most of my lecturers. My statistics lecturer was a bit boring though and focus more on doing exercises but well it's stats and I just hate math and you need a lot of practice for that ahaha and for some reason she's always eating lunch when my friends and I got see her lol so she explain stuff very briefly to us when we go see her ^^" and another one I'm not that fond of is one English lecturer I had, she was pretty rigid and follows the book on how she do things.. ^^" no room to improvise much.

They are helpfull though most of the time, if you don't understand stuff they have consultation hours allocated a few times a week for you to come see them and ask question. Of course you can't go and show your assignment and ask "right or not" but if there's stuff on you don't understand how to do, go to them and explain what you have done and they help point you in the right direction =D and don't go seeing them during the last week before exam and say you don't know anything, that will tick them off a little ahaha =D

oh I forgot about the societies part. Well there's a lot of kinds of things from sports to pretty much stuff that are just for fun.
I'm mainly a part of the anime society and I also work for the SDH and other departments as a Student Ambassador for events and orientations. I also help some of my friends on the business schools's orientation (business school kedekut to pay student ambassadors lol) >_<
Well I had a lot of nice experience, one would imagine the anime society to just lepak and play around with our interest but I got an experience organizing an event that attracted more than a thousand visitors and earned us more than ten thousand ringgit for charity through our asaban event and that was pretty stressfull especially dealing with out main sponsors like sony and animax asia =D
