it's your monitor setting problem, try to read the user manual of the monitor, there is some button to change to the ratio 16:9 which is the wide screen ratio instead of 4:3(square screen ratio) some monitor will be 2 option, either Auto/16:9 only, always choose the 16:9 then will won't have the black part.
