I will make an unboxing video and post it to YouTube too. Furthermore, I will snap some pictures to share with you guys. As usual, I pray that it will come to me ASAP. Can't stop thinking of it now.

QUOTE(tek @ May 24 2010, 07:11 PM)
Ahh...the thread has fallen silent as Jeffrey and EvilDevil awaits with high anticipation the arrival of their G73JH hehe.

For the new owners or future owners, I found a problem with the upkeep of my laptop. The mesh grill for the speaker area is a magnet for dust/dirt keeping. And it's hell trying to clean them afterwards. I am not so inclined on trying to take it apart yet . . maybe when the dust/dirt becomes too overbearing for my eyes and ears (if they block the speakers) smile.gif

I've also installed Dirt 2  and played a few games. To my surprise . . it actually is smoother than my desktop.

My desktop rig :

Intel C2D E8400
Asus P5KPL-AM
Kingston PC-6400 DDR2-800 *2
Seagate 1TB HDD
Silverstone ST56F
Asus HD4850 512MB

So for now, you could say I am pretty happy camper biggrin.gif
*
biggrin.gif Indeed, I'm really anxious on getting my Asus G73Jh-A2.

As for the mesh grill above the keyboard, have you tried before to vacuum it using the USB powered vacuum or the ordinary household vacuum? I hate to see if there are a lot of dust stuck inside the mesh grill and the current measurement of getting rid of them which I can think of is the USB powered vacuum. Maybe you can try to use one and tell us the result? laugh.gif

Do you have any recommendation for the mini vacuum? The mini vacuum is USB powered?

How about Cyber Clean, the cleaning compound? Probably will work...
*
I'm sorry to say that I doubt that the cleaning compound is not that efficient as well as I have tried before to clean up my friend's laptop speaker mesh grill and it won't works. Haiyz ...

yup, A2 full factory package.
*
Your price tag for Asus G73Jh-A2 is certainly the cheapest in the universe I believe. biggrin.gif Unfortunately, I'm not in Malaysia now. If not, I will buy from you. Anyway, thanks for the service of bringing in the product into Malaysia with such a good price tag. notworthy.gif

Yes I am . . but this has nothing to do with the G73JH except that is the main reason why I got the laptop lolz. Now am contemplating on getting an external HDD or just dump most of my files from the PC to the HDD in the laptop. hrmmm  hmm.gif
*
An external HDD sounds good for me. smile.gif

I have read this before at Engadget but the most concerned part of this technology is the PRICE. It may costs you an arm and leg.

.. if you have an extra bucks.

not like you can't gaming with that, don't you blush.gif

/inb4 SSD >>> all!
if it cost your arm and legs, 7.2krpm is fine too right?
*
I'm not a hardcore gamer though. 7200 RPM is fine enough for me. laugh.gif

half an arm and leg perhaps, compared to SSD??? tongue.gif

anyway, the MSRP for Momentus XT is US$113, US$132 and US$156 for 250GB, 320GB and 500GB respectively...

compared to Momentus 7200.4, which are (e-tailer price) US$55, US$55 and US$85 respectively

i think the 250GB model should hit US$100 once it hit the shelves... still, cheap compared to SSD...
*
Anyway, I'm still anxious on the performance of these hard drives. thumbup.gif

QUOTE(nemesis94 @ May 26 2010, 03:05 PM)
Hi is this laptop available in Malaysia?
*
For the time being, NO! Actually, I have ordered one, that is, Asus G73Jh-A2 from GenTechPC. At that time, luckily Ken Lee (SA) from GenTechPC told me that they had ready stock for Asus G73Jh-A2 and I instantly ordered one without any further considerations. The main reason why I did that is because of the demand of Asus G73Jh is over the supply. Thus, most of the buyers need to back order for approximately 1 month before they can lay their hands on it. smile.gif

I will update with you guys if there are any ready stocks from GenTechPC. Oh yea, you can PM corallinkz too as he is also offering the best price (cheapest) of Asus G73Jh. PM him . . . icon_rolleyes.gif

well, Mucro Asia still dun ve any stock...

However, I'm not really recommend buyers to get their Asus G73Jh from Mucro.Asia as they are really BAD in customer service. I have mailed them twice regarding on Asus G73Jh's inquiries and they never respond to it. vmad.gif

USPS is suppose to deliver to the exact address but currently they might hold ur item at customs either at sepang or mebe other places. Then u need to assign pos malaysia or ur courier company to help u declare it out from customs.

Yeah for that price, but the reliability for disc based hdd is questionable, ssd is very rugged as there's no moving parts. And look at the spec of the momentus XT it's only 4GB flash, and performance wise suppose to be 80% according to seagate. If their technology is really that efficient then really worth to consider.  drool.gif

Well this i dunno as I haven't get any calls yet. If not mistaken usually they will call up and ask if we wanna assign them to be our agent or not. Then later will collect money or will ask us to bank in i suppose. My usual forwarder will bill us later once they kautim the customs. I think tek got more info as he passed his 1st.

Mebe tomorrow morning I might drop by sepang, not sure what time they will open if they run 24 hours then morning 6am i will be there to collect.  drool.gif

Gratz bro, so it means that either u need to pick up from customs or they will deliver to u. Try to check after 5 hours see if there's progress if there's none means the item is held at customs edi.  sweat.gif

I have no idea how the system works here. laugh.gif My notebook has arrived at Frankfurt which is quite far from my city at Essen. Thus, I have no idea how and when it will be delivered to here. sweat.gif
