I am using fxcm during early days.....the platform was so buggy. I prefer MT4 though.

----------------snip----------------------
1)Trade with an edge. Find a trading strategy that will produce positive returns over the long run.

2)Manage risk. Control risk so  that you can continue to trade, or you may not be around for the long run, and then you won't see those positive returns.

3)Be consistent. Execute your plan consistently to achieve the returns.

4)Keep it simple. A simple plan or idea will hold up better over time than a more complex one.

-----------------------------snip-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do you have above 4? hehehe

yayya.. fxcm tradin station is succkkyyyy. wanna use MT4 but company internet blocked it.....zzzzzz somemore fxcm not good for scalpin.....

seriously, main culprit is one's self emotion.. been there n done dat.

regardin ur above stuff, dats reason people use EA.. good or bad? who m i to judge..lol

Hi guys,

jst some sharing of best practice.... I adopt hedging as my strategy  smile.gif

FXCM is awesome!! I dont have complain totally since beginning. DONT believe in those wailing forumers from forexpeacearmy who claims FXCM are scam brokers. They themselves made the wrong trade, and blame their brokers for their own losses.

Frm today onwards, FXCM revised their policy on hedging. Hedged positions are not required any margin. Totally zero!! Hence, I have excellent margin/leverage to win my positions  rclxm9.gif

Any interested traders who wish to open a live account with them, do allow me to refer u in.. We will both get the same amount of referral fee up to USD200... I wasnt referred by anybody when I signed up, thus, I myself was not entitled to anything. I couldnt get anybody to refer me that time. http://www.fxcm.co.uk/forex-referral-program.jsp   .... PM me

Totally NO DEALING DESK. Trades are being executed instantly (forumers frm forexpeacearmy claimed need to wait 10-60minutes for trade execution)... these ppl must be using dial-up connection or heavily shared public wifi !!

2 weeks of trading stats ... heehee

FXCM is never a scam. its vry big company wo......

nice tradin. i would like to see how u feels when u trade 10 times n all of it is losses. lol...

lol... bro, get a notebook + maxis bb and use MT4 then.... what is RM58 a month compared to the potential profits?? Unless...
I've been trading for > 2 yrs and had executed > 1000 trades... the attached was jst an extract of the recent tix... lol ... of coz nobody can escape trading losses... but its how strong your capital can withstand those losses...

bro, why FXCM not good for scalping? ... check out my trade time in/out and tell me ...  smile.gif ... if u r talking about the extra half pip of spread vs. some cheaper brokers, then you are too calculative.... a few seconds of trading can eliminate that half pip easily... what we should look for, is a reputable and trustworthy broker... most importantly, NO DEALING DESK

advice, DO NOT ATTEMPT hedging with Gain Capital's forex.com ... it doesnt work
*
y not compare it to potential losses? XD

FXCM doesnt hav fix spread.

1. i do not termed u r doin scalpin as d time is too long
2. i guess its demo acc?

lol... trading demo for > 2 years? U so free to demo like that ah?

Added on October 17, 2010, 12:48 pm

luqmanz, ya, I totally agree with u, these ppl who complained on slippage, off-quotes, re-quotes etc shld be trading during news days... the price moves too fast for his connection/mouse click to grab the rate shown on screen. The rate shown on their screen already 2-3 seconds delayed if their connection is too slow ... but with FXCM, the "take profit" is very accurate, never fail me B4... the closing rate is even better than my "take profit rate" ...

example :
1) look at my last trade on15oct. short USDJPY 81.453, I set take profit at 81.100 ... my closed position was at 81.080 (2 pips more)  smile.gif

2) another short USDJPY 81.141, i set take profit at 81.000, my closed position was at 80.979 (2.1pips more)  smile.gif

mind you lowyat82, these were extracts from my live account summary. Demo account will not let u have login to extract such report (with FXCM)

so with take profit executed like that, should I be calculative on the half pip extra spread?? This is what i mean by a trustworthy broker...

if dats live acc, then i hav nothin to say. lol.. wish u all d best.

Opening demo account is free.. just need to register, download and install MT4.

Mind you trading is not as easy as one might think.  That is the myth that many has fall into ending up losing their money.  The thing with trading is that everyone can win some trades earlier purely out of chance, but very few profit consistently.  If I go read some books on how to be a brain surgeon would you trust me to do brain surgery on you? Most probably not.  But in trading, a beginner could successfully profit after the first few trades without learning about the markets. That is the trap..  And another thing, trading with real money is a totally different compared with demo account.  Demo is good to learn the platform, but its like playing video game compared to the real thing.  Trading with real account you feel the greed and fear of trading.. But overall, if you like to follow world affairs and dont mind reading charts.. i recommend trading to anyone..

I have a question for all ...

When using Instaforex broker, the Volume is quoted in pip value (MT4) ... which means ... if u input Volume as  1.00 .. that means $1.00 per pip ...

Is this what we call mini-lot ... or micro-lot ?

I wonder what other broker  works this way as well ... anyone ?
*
if not mistaken u can change it to $.

$1 per pip depends on which pair u trade??

i.e. EU,

if $1 per pip, means urs is mini if not mistaken

it is more suitable if d forex hav their own thread.. right now. all bunch into same. currently demand to open up thread is not there.. so now all bunch into same topic XD

Dont want to bait a flame war but most dont share their analysis here..most holding on to their cards.. since many newcomers come and go asking for broker and stuff, i dont want to mislead others with what i think the price will go.  Thats what forexfactory is for.. and after going through that forum; my personal conclusion is most of the trading systems there is misleading u got everything from cyclical to VSA to ichimoku cloud.  The forum is good for chatting and the calendar is great. But there are so many people in there, 90% traders lose money.
*
IMHO, all systems r good. jus d matter how one's manipulate it into tradin. n i do respect those who spend tiem to count d wave. i dunno how do it n wont do it XD

Its all about managing risk.  Oanda Asia Pacific and ibfx Australia is good choice. Oanda is the biggest broker, got more profitable accounts and good spreads.  I use Oanda to trade and MT4 demo for charting.  Dont open a US account though, you want your account in Asian currencies like AUD or SGD.  Holding USD is risky nowadays.

traders, gamblers, chartist, funder, or watever u may call urself r.

need some opinion, shud i remain my acc small same size as d time i deposit funds to it or use compound effects to make higher profit / lose

already transfered bc 100% return profit to malaysia. now this is 2nd month, still lefft 25% to achieve 100% return which i think wont b a problem to complete it b4 end of this month.

d question is shud i remain my acc as small as it is OR opt to use compoundin effects? need decide b4 end of dec.

kthxbye~~
