1)Trade with an edge. Find a trading strategy that will produce positive returns over the long run.

jst some sharing of best practice.... I adopt hedging as my strategy   

FXCM is awesome!! I dont have complain totally since beginning. DONT believe in those wailing forumers from forexpeacearmy who claims FXCM are scam brokers. They themselves made the wrong trade, and blame their brokers for their own losses.

Frm today onwards, FXCM revised their policy on hedging. Hedged positions are not required any margin. Totally zero!! Hence, I have excellent margin/leverage to win my positions 

Any interested traders who wish to open a live account with them, do allow me to refer u in.. We will both get the same amount of referral fee up to USD200... Totally NO DEALING DESK. Trades are being executed instantly (forumers frm forexpeacearmy claimed need to wait 10-60minutes for trade execution)... these ppl must be using dial-up connection or heavily shared public wifi !!

I've been trading for > 2 yrs and had executed > 1000 trades... the attached was jst an extract of the recent tix... lol ... of coz nobody can escape trading losses... but its how strong your capital can withstand those losses...

bro, why FXCM not good for scalping? ... check out my trade time in/out and tell me ...  ... if u r talking about the extra half pip of spread vs. some cheaper brokers, then you are too calculative.... a few seconds of trading can eliminate that half pip easily... what we should look for, is a reputable and trustworthy broker... most importantly, NO DEALING DESK

luqmanz, ya, I totally agree with u, these ppl who complained on slippage, off-quotes, re-quotes etc shld be trading during news days... the price moves too fast for his connection/mouse click to grab the rate shown on screen. The rate shown on their screen already 2-3 seconds delayed if their connection is too slow ... but with FXCM, the "take profit" is very accurate, never fail me B4... the closing rate is even better than my "take profit rate" ...

example :
1) look at my last trade on15oct. short USDJPY 81.453, I set take profit at 81.100 ... my closed position was at 81.080 (2 pips more) 

2) another short USDJPY 81.141, i set take profit at 81.000, my closed position was at 80.979 (2.1pips more) 

mind you lowyat82, these were extracts from my live account summary. Demo account will not let u have login to extract such report (with FXCM)

so with take profit executed like that, should I be calculative on the half pip extra spread?? This is what i mean by a trustworthy broker...

sounds just like what instaforex is doing. isn't this a normal thing with all broker? or is there a broker that doesn't do that?

Mind you trading is not as easy as one might think.  That is the myth that many has fall into ending up losing their money.  The thing with trading is that everyone can win some trades earlier purely out of chance, but very few profit consistently.  If I go read some books on how to be a brain surgeon would you trust me to do brain surgery on you? Most probably not.  But in trading, a beginner could successfully profit after the first few trades without learning about the markets. That is the trap..  And another thing, trading with real money is a totally different compared with demo account.  Demo is good to learn the platform, but its like playing video game compared to the real thing.  Trading with real account you feel the greed and fear of trading.. But overall, if you like to follow world affairs and dont mind reading charts.. i recommend trading to anyone..

When using Instaforex broker, the Volume is quoted in pip value (MT4) ... which means ... if u input Volume as  1.00 .. that means $1.00 per pip ...

Is this what we call mini-lot ... or micro-lot ?

I wonder what other broker  works this way as well ... anyone ?

I think we shud discuss trading strategies more, instead of broker broker broker.. n broker.. 

Dont want to bait a flame war but most dont share their analysis here..most holding on to their cards.. since many newcomers come and go asking for broker and stuff, i dont want to mislead others with what i think the price will go.  Thats what forexfactory is for.. and after going through that forum; my personal conclusion is most of the trading systems there is misleading u got everything from cyclical to VSA to ichimoku cloud.  The forum is good for chatting and the calendar is great. But there are so many people in there, 90% traders lose money.

Its all about managing risk.  Oanda Asia Pacific and ibfx Australia is good choice. Oanda is the biggest broker, got more profitable accounts and good spreads.  I use Oanda to trade and MT4 demo for charting.  Dont open a US account though, you want your account in Asian currencies like AUD or SGD.  Holding USD is risky nowadays.

Withdraw maybe 50% of your profits .. so you can still get a compounding effect on your account.

I usually leave min 30%.. for a 100usd acct, after 2 years 7 month it will equal to a cool mill(rm)

its compounded... 1st month 100+30%=130, 2nd month 130+30%=169, 3rd month 169+30%=219.7....... and so on...

If I were you, I wil not withdraw a single cent but to full compound it.

im still bearish euro for the medium to long term.. this bounce wont be long.. its a suckers rally.i wish china would just go ahead and raise rates.
