I'm trading based on M15 but I only target 10-15p max, 2 or 3 trades per day. As long as you do not overtrade and don't target big pips, M15 is alright. And please pick good time to trade such as overlaps of London and US open.

QUOTE(rstusa @ Aug 19 2010, 06:51 PM) I heard he said lot size open is 50 lots per trade, lol, not sure is micro or standard lot, if I'm not forgotten he told me that guy open up to $8k/pip, it really ridiculous. That's really a huge amount per pip. Even my broker only offer max usd500/pip (for one trade) but you can open as many as you like of course.

QUOTE(J(o)y @ Aug 30 2010, 05:01 PM) Lucky for u, if u find any "kind enuf" ppl. But definitely not me. I've paid RM5k to Madam xxxx for a 2-day course. It doesn't make me a pro and doesn't help it winning me a lot of money. But it help me in how to kick start, i.e. "the basic stuff", which cost RM5k to me. Then the hard part, i'll have to learn it myself, and i'm still learning. way too expensive. Lots of people can teach you the basic, including me, for free or perhaps you can treat me lunch. You can then use a portion from rm5k (perhaps rm1600 or usd500) to open a micro account and trade for few months to get a hang of forex.

QUOTE(cmk96 @ Aug 30 2010, 10:40 PM) Few years back, forex is still new in our country... there is no forex "guru" advertise to teach it...paying a few thousands is worthy...but that was then... now... paying a few k its quite a big money. I think the biggest hurdle for a newbie is how and where to open an account... back then, it pays to get those expert opinion as they have the experience with certain brokers...but now, we can get the review online easily. Nowadays i still see some guru advertise online to teach all the basics between RM500-800... sometimes a newbie need someone to guide them and built up their confidence rather than start everything themselves...its rather scary..frankly speaking. If the 'guru' always accessible to you then that is not such a bad investment I guess. The problem is quite a lot of them charge a ridiculous amount of money just for 3 days course and then you're on your own. And the course is held on weekend! You don't even get to see how this 'guru' trade live. What a joke. Aloong, if you need some help or if you have any questions (basic) you can PM me. Anyone can. A great website for new forex trader is www.babypips.com. This post has been edited by khd229: Aug 31 2010, 12:29 AM
