QUOTE(sleepwalker @ Mar 11 2010, 03:10 PM) Then you are not scalping right. There should be price movement every 1 min and there should at least an entry and exit every 10-15 mins as the micro waves move up and down. Even in a flat ranging market where the price didn't change much in longer time frames, there should be enough small waves for you to pull 5 pips out of every 10 pip move, assuming that you are trading on a pair with 2 or less pip spread. Would you like to share a bit on what indicator is suitable for scalping in M1 and M5? Really appreciate it. You are a pro!If you look at the screen for more than 15mins and can't find an entry, then you don't know enough to scalp yet. Looking at the screen for 2-3 hours waiting for the price to move is definitely not scalping at all. |

QUOTE(shanelai @ Apr 28 2010, 10:11 PM) I've tried on demo many many accounts and keep losing.... At least you have not lose a single cent yet...for me, the main reason is overtrading... with no stop loss. To be a day trader is the hardest... keep your demo spirit alive until you start to profit Seems like those theory and the practise is totally different... Very hard to learn the skill.. |

QUOTE(billytong @ May 7 2010, 02:19 PM) it is already happened, it is almost 200pips drop from the very bottom. Yest is a wild day, I think it will settle down a bit until NFP time, but there is no guaranty if it will move again this afternoon or not. Ermm...not sure what you meant by "200 pips drop from the bottom"...maybe you are saying 200pips retracement from the bottom... i'm talking about GJ. Thanks for reminding me about NFP... totally forgotten its the first friday again... won't be able to watch it...traveling back hometown tonight... Just keep my position open. |

QUOTE(laliloo @ May 12 2010, 04:38 PM) so downloading the client is fine right? sometimes i'm quite reluctant to install new unknown software to my pc >< speed is not important...most important is stability...last time my line always dc... re-apply a new line...much better. 1MB streamyx is good enough... i can download movies while watching the mt4... no problem.also i can see that you have speedtest for a different ISP, what ISP is that? and i've read that you'll need high speed internet to trade, would 1mb streamyx be sufficient? or a definite nono? |

Few years back, forex is still new in our country... there is no forex "guru" advertise to teach it...paying a few thousands is worthy...but that was then... now... paying a few k its quite a big money. I think the biggest hurdle for a newbie is how and where to open an account... back then, it pays to get those expert opinion as they have the experience with certain brokers...but now, we can get the review online easily.
Nowadays i still see some guru advertise online to teach all the basics between RM500-800... sometimes a newbie need someone to guide them and built up their confidence rather than start everything themselves...its rather scary..frankly speaking. |

QUOTE(khd229 @ Aug 31 2010, 12:26 AM) If the 'guru' always accessible to you then that is not such a bad investment I guess. The problem is quite a lot of them charge a ridiculous amount of money just for 3 days course and then you're on your own. And the course is held on weekend! You don't even get to see how this 'guru' trade live. What a joke. Many so called Guru did trade live with their student...since the early days in 2007...if you can find any guru which doesn't do that...just stay out! Only an idiot will pay for it. I'm not promoting newbie to find a guru...i'm just sharing my experience. Nowadays you can get endless information and system all over the internet. Free...Aloong, if you need some help or if you have any questions (basic) you can PM me. Anyone can. A great website for new forex trader is www.babypips.com. |

QUOTE(beast_doadore @ Aug 31 2010, 12:41 AM) Just wondering anyone here using digi broadband or other usb type broadband to trade the forex. I just want to know it's fine to use digi broadband to trade (the internet speed) or how about the "space" usage? (downloaded and uploaded data after a day trade? I'm using digi broadband...so far so good... but there are times it will dc for a few hours.... happened once only after 2 mths of usage... i would say 98% of the time is problem free. Even the basic 3GB is more than enough to operate MT4 24 hours a day for a mth. But i switched to 10GB coz i'm a heavy downloader... P.S: because I'm using streamyx before and its unlimited. so do not have any problem. any one experienced please let me know! |
