to be honest, you can use a G-based router for fibre-based network connection. Virgin UK offered me a NETGEAR G router along with their 20mbps fibre network service, so I don't really see a problem using a G-based router on a FTTH connection. Unless if you're pc is way too far away from your router i suppose....XD
