any business point of view for the HSBB??
when TM launch HSBB and full coverage on Klang Valley area...
what about the other ISP?? is totally unfair to them..
while all the fiber infra belongs to TM..
what the hell when all ppl subscribed HSBB due to the high speed and no more competitive promotion because 99% of internet user in klang valley regardless home or business will go for fiber instead of DSL technology.

from what i know, 10Mbps & above is what we called HSBB. to have 5Mbps below the 10Mbps & above still consider as HSBB ?

384kbps - 4Mbps = Streamyx
10Mbps & above = HSBB
5Mbps = ?

who's going ? rclxm9.gif

no.. this is not how to categorize HSBB or stremayx...
streamyx use ADSL technology which have limited maximum speed,
while HSBB use VDSL technology and based on fiber optic infra thus can provide speed up to 1Gbps.
5Mbps can be ADSL or VDSL because both also can provide 5Mbps speed.

but it keeps saying 10mbps and above
is there even a 5mbps package for HSBB ?
guess will find out in a couple days time.

i don't think there's a 5mbps package la..

is there any bandwith cap after this ?
*
yes.. more~
u guys have to understand more about the HSBB..
indeed u guys can get 10mbps speed, but only on local route.
TM might increase the speed on international bandwidth but is impossible u can get 10mbps on international traffic.
so in order to control the bandwidth (MONEY).. (imagine if there's no bandwidth cap, 1 user have 10mbps on international and says 10,000 users : 10,000 x 10mbps = 100gbps speed to international bandwidth, if 1mbps international bandwidth is RM1000)
u calculate urself.

If I remember correctly, I read somewhere from the tm.net.my saying that the maximum speed is only 4MB with telephone line, thats y we dont have streamyx more than 4MB.

no.. can go more.. ADSL2+ which is common use for TM can go up to 24Mbps.
of course it depends on the distance from ur house to DSLAM.
