i'm curious..HSBB function is the same as Maxis/Celcom bb? i mean..just plug the device(or modem) without any cable, and we get the connection. am i correct?
but HSBB use FiberTerminationBox and FiberWallSocket. that means my uni(uia pj) is not covered with HSBB yet? bcos i can confirm that those 2 things are not installed in this campus. eventhough TM Tower is just 3-5 km from here..

QUOTE(rajulkabir @ Mar 17 2010, 02:39 AM) You are not correct. Maxis and Celcom are wireless, which means slow and unreliable. But it also means they can be used almost anywhere in a broad coverage area without requiring specific infrastructure for each customer. HSBB is using fibre optic cables, which is basically the same idea as the copper cable used for Streamyx ADSL except they are made of a different material which can carry a higher capacity. You need to have the cable connected to a router on your premises. Then from the router you can use wifi locallly if you want to. ic..then there's no need for me to wait for hsbb to become available at my uni. thnx for the info.
