Just found out from their hotline that TTDI is not fully covered yet. Hopefully when HSBB goes official this would not be the case.

I called their hotline around 2 hours ago.
I asked whether my current contract with Streamyx (combo account) will be converted to a new HSBB contract if I were to sign up for it. Much to my surprise, he said no. In other words, if I apply for HSBB, I'd still have to pay for my less than-a-year old Streamyx Combo account.

I doubt this is true... he must be a newbie.

i knew the price already as i'm one of the staff. i won't reveal the prices but i'll let u know the 3 packages:

packages:

1. 5mb/s
2. 10mb/s
3. 20mb/s

the promo:

if u register by this year, u'll get free installation.

if u register by  31st of March, TM will waived the 1st 3 months of your bill. so meaning to say, u'll get to use it for freeee~ for the 1st 3 months.

the pricing? just wait for 2moro's launching. smile.gif

btw forgot to mention this earlier.. I was also told that TM's contractors for HSBB installation are fully booked until 29 of this month IIRC. I guess they're installing for the staff first?

what Master plan of BN always miss out East Malaysia.
they wont earn any new citizen from us.
we should strike back for it pretty soon for all these outcast of high speed implementation over east here for the coming election.
*
...yet they always retain both Sabah & Sarawak during the general elections. I guess most of the people there are really happy with them?

QUOTE(Demonic Wrath @ Mar 24 2010, 11:44 AM)
Seriously, I don't get why people can download 500GB per month.. If download movie or series, can watch finish? If download game, can play finish all the games? Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to. Boasting downloaded size here doesn't make people jealous, it just makes people think you're a jerk for hogging the bandwidth.

Downloading 24/7 doesn't make TM suffer. It will only make user suffer. It won't make TM to hasten their speed to increase the bandwidth, they'll still follow their plan.

*Likes this*

Does anyone know.. what's the maximum supported (or should I say theoretical) speed for this HSBB? (beyond the 20Mbps package on offer)

just wanna share, my bro in law was chosen to become hsbb beta tester, hes line is 20mbps ip 110.115.xxx.xxx if im not mistaken.. fastest download speed was 2.6mb/s and stable torrenting at 1.8mb/s with 100k max global connections and 100k connections per torrent

and can reach 1.2mb/s upload with 100k connections pertorrent

so what i can say.. its really really fast download 1.5GB file in 15 mins.

IPTV traffic will likely be uncapped, it is local anyway. It's probably running on a different level of service.
*
IPTV will have its own dedicated bandwidth, 8MBps to be exact. (on top of either 5 - 10 -20Mbps)
Quoting one of the guys here who claimed to be a TM staff.
