QUOTE(0110 @ Mar 18 2010, 09:30 AM) I've been testing HSBB for 1 month already. I also have a DIR-615 it is working fine...Does anyone else have this problem with their router+modem? My wired connection is perfectly fine. But the problem is wireless. It is quite unstable. The wireless network can't be detected sometimes. (From all the laptops in the house) Does anyone else have this problem? Please check if: 1. If your Wireless SSID is hidden. 2. If your wireless channel is located on channel 13. If so adjust it back to 11 and below and try again. If that solve your issue. Added on March 19, 2010, 10:21 am QUOTE(heng84 @ Mar 18 2010, 01:28 PM) i used to have this problem.. due to the stupid router tmnet give.. I think that you are using the 802.11b/g device (11~54Mbps)anyway.. there is a setting u can make .. took me few hours to find out lol.. there is a setting in advance mode for wireless.. where the default setting is (20/40hz) change the setting to 20hz then u r done.. thats for my case la (now im at office cant guide u but give u a rough guide la haha).. my router is like 10meters away from my pc.. last time can connect but cannot get into internet because of that.. now solved.. somehow the router is pahria.. ping not so stable and cannot modify the antenna cos cannot take out.. one piece one knn.. for that you really need to disable the 20/40Mhz wide channel implementation. Backword compatilibity on 802.11n -> 802.11a/b/g Added on March 19, 2010, 10:22 am QUOTE(poh880 @ Mar 18 2010, 01:41 PM) Even DLink Retail DIR-615 also unstable bcos the firmware have bugs. My DIR-655 also just fine after their released firmware version 1.33NA. Hope TM will work with DLink to always update their custom firmware as well. Er??Added on March 18, 2010, 1:46 pm In 20Hz, you will get half of the maximum rate which will be 150M. In 40Hz, you will get 300M. It is only applied to wireless N. Wireless G users will get 54M. The problem is wireless get reboot by itself for an unknown reason. You sure? That have no happen to me though. What is the firmware version you have on your DIR-615 This post has been edited by sheep: Mar 19 2010, 10:22 AM |

QUOTE(0110 @ Mar 18 2010, 09:30 AM) I've been testing HSBB for 1 month already. yes, yes, same here.Does anyone else have this problem with their router+modem? My wired connection is perfectly fine. But the problem is wireless. It is quite unstable. The wireless network can't be detected sometimes. (From all the laptops in the house) Does anyone else have this problem? i have the exact problems and i thought it's because of the laptop. after some time, it will just disconnect from the internet. QUOTE(flyingfox @ Mar 19 2010, 12:00 AM) If I remember correctly, I read somewhere from the tm.net.my saying that the maximum speed is only 4MB with telephone line, thats y we dont have streamyx more than 4MB. no.. can go more.. ADSL2+ which is common use for TM can go up to 24Mbps.of course it depends on the distance from ur house to DSLAM. |

what i am worry about is, they give us cheap package but limited bandwidth.
For example RM50 for 10Mbps but only 50GB bandwidth. And for heavy user, they will have plan like RM200 for 10Mbps and 300GB? |

QUOTE(rasyid @ Mar 19 2010, 05:24 PM) are u sure the package will be as cheap as RM55? if you're referring to someone's post about rumored HSBB price, do not put so much trust in it.My prediction is the price for HSI 5mbps will be slightly higher than RM160 monthly (the price of 4mbps Streamyx currently). Unless, TM lowered the prices for Streamyx. |

better discuss on the technology rather than arguing and guessing about the price,
which no one knows till the 24th. it has been what.. 30 pages just for price guessing posts? This post has been edited by eimzic: Mar 19 2010, 06:17 PM |

QUOTE(Gh-x @ Mar 19 2010, 05:33 PM) what i am worry about is, they give us cheap package but limited bandwidth. well frankly, that's quite good. think about the moderate user. which one do u want? crappy 512 kbps or 10 mbps for roughly the same amount of money? For example RM50 for 10Mbps but only 50GB bandwidth. And for heavy user, they will have plan like RM200 for 10Mbps and 300GB? |
