hey guys, i got one really newbie question..

my friend tried to cut his casing with a dremel tool, i was looking at him cutting the casing behind the window at the balcony, then out of nowhere the cutting disc just pop out from the dremel, luckily got the window to protect else might have fatal injury..

my question here is..how do u lock the cuttin disc tightly to the dremel?

don't stress the cutting disc too much. cutting using dremel should be done with lots of patience. look for bill owen's guide on using the dremel.

i have broken almost a dozen of those cutting disc for now. never had any injury. just make sure you we protective glasses when working with metal.

Lock ? U mean tight the cutting disc on Dremel ? I think the cutting disc that ur friend using is normal one . I have one suggestion which is better use Fiberglass Reinforced cutting disc because it didn't break so easy and can last longer

http://www.dremel.com/en-us/AttachmentsAnd...il.aspx?pid=426

If u have problem tight the cutting disc , u may try this :

i think better we tight it down properly to prevent any accident. in my knowledge, disc break not because of over tighten, but its the user press the dremel against the cutting object to hard. please be patient when cutting with dremel.

For those who live in Shah Alam, Puchong, Klang, ya'all can get 100mm Bi Metal Hole Saw at CSM Hardware Taman Sri Muda for only RM65.00, 90mm at RM48.00, stock are available, 120mm u need to place order, 1week eta at RM80.00. Brands KUGEL.

Just nice for those who doesnt spend much on Dremel's, prolly already have hammer/drilling power tools. Just bought 50mm@RM19.00 hole saw to make 120mm blowhole look alike flower petal or KUIH BAKAR

Kugel's brand is from Germany.
