Is floating market is a must to go for 1st timer? What is the best way to get there?

Allow me to share my xperience here n i cant bliv i got fckin cheated!!!Urghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Me n my fren were lookin for a gd plc for dinner, n i read dat sum forumer here recommended Somboon.Then v took a tuk tuk thr,v told da driver v wanted to go Somboon.And v ended up at a restaurant similar to Somboon called Somboondee, v tot it was Somboon.We felt sumthin was not right though.We wanted to leave at 1st, but it was too late, so we jz gav up n seated down.Cos it seems like da restaurant not packed at all, n 90% r ang moh...dis is so weird.
The prices at the restaurant were unreasonably xpensive!V managed to order 2 dishes oni...1 fish 1 tomyam.
When bill came, we got real shock!It was abt 1800++ baht!N thr's dis man,he cud speak basic Eng,i thnk he is da supervisor,he asked us to gv 100baht tips to da waiter who served us.V were like wow!U r orderin us to gv tips?!U cant be serious?!But v got no choice,so v jz gav...Afta dat he himself walked away wiv da 100baht instead,not da other waiter.
And da followin nite,v actuali passed by da REAL Somboon!!!!V were like WTF?!!!!V got so frustrated!!!!I stil cant bliv i got cheated jz liddat!
V paid abt 1000 baht for each person.Wiv dat amount of $,v cud hv eaten sumthin even cheaper n nicer!!!!!!!!!

Surprisingly,food thr r not too bad in da FAKE somboon.Da fish is fresh.But then...i jz pissed cos i got conned!Urghhh!

Yeah the coconut ice cream but i tried is at Chatuchak market.

I didnt go floating market because first is my schedule too tight secondly i read alot of negative comments regarding tourist being forced to buy stuff if not they boat will not move on.
