QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ May 31 2010, 03:12 PM) So that means if i want to find a hotel, i must find the hotel on Petchburi Rd in between Ratchathewi BTS and Phayathai BTS ? Added on May 31, 2010, 3:15 pmheyhey~ when are you going to bangkok? did u check out how far will it be from airport to Pratunam area? Airport to Pratunam is not that far by taxi. However traffic congestion is always a problem in that area. Since you are travelling in a group of 4, I think catching a taxi from airport to pratunam would be better choice. Best choose a hotel that suite your budget and near by a BTS or Subway station.

QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ May 31 2010, 03:29 PM) nopnop travelling in 2 only not 4 =) i jst ask about the cab only~ trying to find out if i take BTS how far would it be! Yup looking for hotel nearby bts and pratunam also Travel with meter taxi from airport would probably cost you less then 500baht. It is much cheaper then travalling from KL sentral to LCCT in a taxi Best decide where you wanna go while in Bangkok? It is not fun get stuck in traffic jam. During peak hours most taxi also quite reluctunt to bring you to other congested area as well. If you are really after shopping for clothing, then only consider staying in Pratunam area.

QUOTE(aeiou228 @ May 31 2010, 03:47 PM) I thought the Soi Sampeng in China Town is the mother of all shopping in Bangkok ? They are selling at wholesale prices. For clothing Pratunam would probably be the best place. Notice there is also some china made garments selling in this area.

QUOTE(AngelLingLing @ May 31 2010, 04:54 PM) hmmm so anyone got any idea any of these 3 hotels near to pratunam/BTS? All Seasons Bangkok Pratunam 97 Rajprarop, Makkasan, Rajthewee Bangkok, 10400 TH Best Western Mayfair Suites Pratunam 36 Soi Phetburi Soi 13 (Enter Phethburi Soi 11),Phetburi Rd,Rajthevee Bangkok, 10400 TH The Ecotel Pratunam Rajthevee 1091/333-4 New Petchburi Road 35, Makkasan Bangkok, 10400 TH I think the nearest BTS station in Pratunum area is Chidlom station. It is a good 20min walk from Platinum plaza. Since this Airport Rail Link is new to me, I have no idea whether it have any link to BTS station? There are lots of reasonable price hotels located in Sukhumvit area. Few are located nearby BTS or subway station.

QUOTE(annielee @ Sep 2 2011, 12:35 PM) just booked MAS (RM663 return) to BKK during Deepavali... wondering will it be cheaper taking taxi to hotel (Pathumwan Princess, located near the MBK shopping center) or the airport link, since there are 4 of us.. It would be cheaper for you guys taking a taxi to hotel, it is no fun taking taking big bags travelling BTS to the hotel by going through MBK

QUOTE(littlebeettle @ Sep 7 2011, 08:15 PM) Thanks buddy! since they are very famous in BKK, guess the price won't be cheap Price wise it depends on the material. However their workmanship and quality is really good. No harm to drop by their place to have a look.
