mass effect 2 problem

i am currently in disc 1. but, after the game freezed in a glich, i keep getting the open tray message whenever i insert the disc. just installed disc 2 to test and it runs normally. i uninstalled and installed the disc 1 a few times before this problem happened. now i can't even continue disc 1 as the disc seems to be unreadable. no scratches on the disc. all my other games work. any of you experienced this b4??help!
