hello everybody, i have a question here, im owner of a gigabyte ep45-ud3p..about the ultra durable silent pipe heat sink i was though of replacing it with an after market north bridge heat sink cooler which had a tiny little fan attached on it cooling it..i dont know is it a good choice? or shall i stick back to the manufacturer silent pipe heat sink? anyone could PLEASE "opinion"...

hmm..but i find it no room to place a 80mm or 120mm fan antonio..and 1 more thing that i had done,im not sure it void the warranty or not but i had took out the heat sink and replace the thermal paste in it with after market thermal paste instead the manufacturer 1..coz i found it very dry n harden like a rock..and my system temperature at ET6 reading about 43c at idle is it normal? compare to 1st day i bought my board heat seems like increased quite alot..maybe the overclock effect perhaps im not sure...

QUOTE(mADmAN @ Feb 17 2010, 01:46 PM) ![]() the part where its written ultra durable is ur mosfet/pwm cooler..... the part where its written gigabyte is ur northbridge... if u wanna replace ur northbridge cooler ur gonna have to remove ur mosfet cooler as well as they are linked via heatpipe which isnt removable.....so ur gonna need to find a seperate cooler for it as well..
