well.. theres always a time to start right.. sometimes the camera wont focus on what YOU want to focus on (eg. macros). just try and try again with MF ... its tiring at times but well... thats one way to learn. trial and error...

QUOTE(albnok @ Mar 11 2010, 10:54 AM) Mikeshashimi: Love the expression, though in technicalities you could use a darker aperture (say F8) to get more of the koala in focus. |

albnok: a transition from bad to good. since the trees on the left side dont have leaves and the one on the right which the monkey is jumping to has lots of em.
if could also be seen as an escape of nature from what men has done to it. This post has been edited by Mikeshashimi: Mar 14 2010, 12:35 PM |

im planning (and hoping) to upgrade my camera next month, i need some help deciding. should i get the a550 or a second hand a700?
because i have read quite a few bad reviews about the a550. or should i scoff-off upgrading my camera and get gears instead? |

yeah. a100 is actually pretty solid, in terms of build quality and IQ, but it tends to get noisy at ISO 800.

QUOTE(ieR @ Mar 15 2010, 12:30 AM) well, first... ignore the reviews... but read the cons and pros... and read more cons and pros on every website.... and imagine, the cons,... does it exists on other and older bodies. and does that matter? ok.. so lets say i have 3k in my hands. should i get:A100 is a kinda, old camera, with several generation of technology gap to A550. those who hold A550 knows its a good camera, those who hold A550 but never hold older camera, they dont realize how much gap A550 create. those who hold A550 and owns older camera body, they know how much improvement A550 and gone through... even some A700 user gotten A550 and tumbs up~ for the speed, creative uses (QLV, MFLVc, FaceDetection, auto HDR, etc)... when people say the body build is lousy or cheap... well, i dont think A200 (sorry, no direct offense to A200 user) is any better then A550, period. why do u compare to an A700 with cost 1k~2k more? why not we just take an A900 direct compare with A550? for the pricetag A550 hold... i doubt it's any unworthy of it.... it's so worth the cash spended. but IF, u have intend on A700, i rather advise u wait for A7xx... waiting few months might let u save up another 1k?maybe... but if u dont have intend on A7bodies... then A550 is not a bad nor expensive upgrade. the hell with the review bout the iso200 problems, u have 14mp, resize it to 10mp (same as A300's pixel) i doubt u find the iso issue appear on the resized picture. a) a550 body only (from sony) or b) get the Cobra, any 50mm prime, and a bigger bag. ? |
