ieR: Somehow I felt there is more potential in making the road a leading line, and using a fisheye to shrink the size of the building.

tmj: Your camera needs to focus on something with contrast. Look for something with an edge, for example a black text on white background. Cameras cannot focus on flat surfaces which have no detail.

shootkk: Don't get the 24mm F2.0 - you will be tempted to change all your lenses to Zeiss lenses. Or at least the Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM since it's as contrasty as the Zeiss lenses.

TrutH_SeeKeR: It's in the manual of your A700.

mie_75: Long time no see! I like #1 how it appears to come out of the darkness. #2 is a bit cool - try setting your WB accordingly.

albnok : Ahahahaha! Yes, I am pretty familiar with the seduction of the Zeiss glass. Stung me hard when I first looked through the 135mm F1.8 waaaay back when I only had the A100.

Fortunately for me, time has diluted the poison by a lot. I am now pretty immune to the Zeiss' bite. Size and weight is one off-putting factor for me. That's why the 16-35mm and 135mm holds very little interest for me now. The 24-70mm has just a little tiny bite but if this 24mm prime is a stellar performer, the 24-70mm will be off the list.

The 85mm prime pops up occasionally on the back of my head but the price tag is a big hurdle.

If the price tag for the 24mm is lower than 3k (which is very unlikely) then the poison will be too much to resist. Till then I am safe from the Zeiss poison. Hehehehehehe...

Talking of which a 24mm Ziess coupled with a Sigma 50mm f1.4 is pretty tempting.... Ahhh... if only I had the money.....

erm yeah just wait for the actual A7xx model release... to see is the improvement replacement or just a disappointment
the mock up at the back seems to be no tiltable life view... and also lesser and button location seems spread far compared to A700....

so meaning there's no dedicated ISO button and SSS swtich, and having an empty left side of the screen seems well, empty... the plastic seems like marble texture, and the Fn button seems to lonely there... sad.gif

Button layout almost same with my a550.. honestly, I'm disappointed with its LCD..

Shooting video with articulating LCD is a great thing... and .. ahh dissaponted -_________-

The superior a700 grip is gone.. Body like a550 only and joystick button tiru Canon 7D...

Also, no MF Check LV?

destfull, how can u justify what you've said regarding the grip and joystick? its the same as the old A700 D-pad (joystick) and have u held the A7xx before? how would u know its not as comfortable if not more? and when u said you're disappointed by its LCD, do u mean by tilt angle or resolution?

Sorry.. my wrong, its not joystick, but the back layout.. almost like 7D.. but nvm, its just my own thoughts =)

I always like a700 grip as it is really comfortable and looks more muscle =)
