Thanks for the comment albnok.
When I look at the photo, I felt few things were not right... but cannot point the problem. Now that you've mentioned the OOF, yes... that hit me. I think I had difficulty in the auto focusing dept. Not sure if it would help me if I had used the MF....
Also, as the ambient light was not enough, I had to use the built in flash to light up a bit IIRC.
waah!!! soo sharp one cj.  notworthy.gif
Pls share how you manage to get that sharp shots...
did you use a flash? CPL filter?
*
this is my setup for macro... no CPL/other filter

CBL lens? never heard before.
But I was thinking would it not be much cheaper getting a gray/white card and calibrate the camera to the gray/white card at the set (photo shoot location), than buying a CBL lens...  hmm.gif

On your macro setup... so elaborate (compared to mine hehe... I dont even have a macro lens sad.gif )
Dont you get light reflecting on the glass panel when the flash fires ?
Thanks for sharing your setup info smile.gif
*
as u can c the angle of my flash light is not straight light to the glass.... so there's no flare/reflection even i'm flashing on the glass w/o CPL

then pentax magnifier is good on my A300... not sure whether it suits A550

is Sony SAL16F28 fisheye a circular or diagonal FE ? What about the Samyang  8mm f3.5

Not many reviews of fisheye lenses in Dyxum  blink.gif
*
SAL16 is diagonal FE.... 180° angle of view on FF & 110° angle of view on APS-C

samyang has 180° angle of view on on APS-C.... can b use on FF with a small mode.... or can oso use it with 2x teleconverter
