mastering89: Google "digital GND"; you can brighten the lower bit while keeping the sun intact.
lwliam: Yes there are 2 lens hoods. And something else! |

Truth be told, if you've seen me carry my Zeiss 135mm around, you know I don't bring the hood out at all... so why 2 hoods?

say, between ET and TC, which one is worth the investment ya?? we know ET only can be use for macro because it can't be focus to infinity.. TC can be used for macro too.. but it can focus to infinity so can be used normally.. but, how's the performance of TC for macro?? better, less or on par with ET??

![]() signither: Teleconverters have glass and weaken the optical quality. However, they give better magnification for longer focal lengths. Supposing a Tamron 90mm F2.8 Macro lens gives you 1:1 maximum magnification. Formula: Lens Extension / Focal Length = Magnification So, for the 90mm, it extends: Lens Extension / 90mm = 1:1 Therefore the lens extension is 90mm. A teleconverter multiplies the magnification directly. So a Tamron 90mm F2.8 Macro with 2x teleconverter gives 2:1 maximum magnification. Back to extension tubes. To get 2:1 with extension tubes: Lens Extension / 90mm = 2:1 Lens Extension = 90mm * 2 = 180mm Therefore, you would need a 90mm extension tube to double the magnification of the Tamron 90mm! (Of course, you can see that shorter focal lengths get bigger magnification with the same extension tubes. The Canon MPE-65 is a 65mm F2.8 lens while the Minolta 1x-3x is a 50mm F1.7-2.8 lens.) mastering89: Oops as it turns out GND isn't specific enough - it's a Graduated Neutral Density filter so I should've said to Google "digital graduated ND". http://www.ronbigelow.com/articles/neutral...ral-density.htm And uh, show us more of the flower instead of putting it way off to the side.
