Ya, my payment also clear on 5th feb but yet till today nothing happen

Summore the customer service make me mad, didnt receive their mail.

I don't mind waiting, but at least update the real status to me and provide me EDD is fine already but this
is al little bit too much. Maybe this is because my unit get very low price?RM3690 will be last to get received tongue.gif

My SA reply, first time he reply in 2 minute tongue.gif

Hi Jason,

Good day to you and understand your concern.
For now, the latest update on the Dell Production – there is multiple Parts Shortage for this model. The production is support for the whole Asia Pacific as well.
We understand the long wait here and this impact for all Alienware models.
The Dell Team is working out very hard on this and will expedite for you once again.

I will keep an eyes for you J

Thank you and have a great day !

well my EDD was only available online once it has reached the 'Build Completed' stage, which is Feb 27th. it was at March 3rd when my order was received, and that is only made known by the cust care and my SA, not via the online tracking page.

mine was only updated after numerous calls, complaints to the SA and cust care. guess you might wanna do the same. smile.gif

ff8ong,

Ask for higher up. Keep asking until they relent. Ask for someone in the managerial position. Asking information from the SA is like reading notices on the wall, it's there and offer nothing more than what's already written.

Quote from someone over at NBR:

"Note: Overclocking will not void your warranty. It is a built in bios feature!! If they didn't want it overclocked for fear of damage, they would never have programmed to OC option in the bios. I hope I'm making sense. You can overclock other alienwares, and I've never had a warranty issue. The issue develops when you use a third party CPU and that causes damage to the laptop."

Extra Note: Maybe this only applies when Alienware was the one who handles the service not Dell..

Like I said before, the Alienware of the now, is not the Alienware of the old. The old Alienware are more PC-gamer-centric focused, they are made by gamers , for the gamers. They "built is as if it was their own". Now, once gobbled up by Dell, it is all about mass-producing these laptops, and somewhere along the line the Quality Control is no longer as per what it was once before. A lot of frustration has mounted from old Alienware users like me, when we see how they have devolved into just another PC manufacturer. The whole process from designing and speccing the next laptop is probably still Alienware's, but once it steps into the production floor, Dell takes over, and that's where the quality drops. You can't expect them to maintain QC when they are manufacturing thousands of laptops in a day. The days of "build it as if it was their own" are gone when they were bought away by Dell.

Oh another update on the Alienware M11x OC..

They said in the manual even state and highlight about the OC feature and did not put any warning there that it would void the warranty. It even shows what FSB to set it to, which should be the "safe" OC.. lol

call my SA on monday to ask them upgrade isit? and pay again via maybank debit?

Added on February 20, 2010, 9:34 pmbro, but checked the warranty page jz now, it says complete cover is only for asia pacific users. means if anythin happen when ur not in asia pacific, dell will not be responsible for it. so how?
