okay thanks smile.gif i notice that dell punya courier service is good, but the operator dam fierce and no patient at all. they don feel like doin their job. darn. called them and tried to arrange with them, but get bombed instead.

btw guys i wanna ask a question:
will i shorten the battery's life if i leave it plugged into my laptop all the time even if its fully charged (together with ac adapter)?

or it is advisable to take out the battery when its fully charged?

does the battery still being charged when ac adapter is plugged on?
or the usage of battery is completely cut off and only charging activity is limtied towards the battery and the power is fully supplied by the charger?

so this means that when ur battery is full and ur adapter is being plugged on, the only power supply the laptop will get from is the adapter isit? means the laptop will not touch the battery?

or otherwise, the laptop will simultaneously use up the battery and let the battery charge in the same time? i noe this will hurt the battery life..

so the m11x falls into which category?

I read that the main concern that degrade our battery life span is the heat our lappy is producing when it's running, especially extensive application or high demand games.
Li-Ion is very sensitive to heat and will greatly ruin the life span of it. So do not keep the battery in the car under hot sun too.

When plugged in, the power will cut off when it;s fully charge. Provided ur lappy is not heats up during usage at that time, then ur battery is consider safe. P/s:
- Best storage for Li-Ion battery is 40% of power, when u plan to leave the battery unattended for some time. 100% is not encouraged too.
- Do not leave battery drops 0% too long, as this will caused unrecoverable cells and hence losing the storage capacity permanently.
- It's common for battery to stay shorter in very cool condition than normal room temp. It's normal, and it's not permanent.

the problem is we cant take out the m11x battery just any how.. we need to unscrew the back cover and take out.. then screw back. lolz.
and thats why there's the enabling/disabling battery function for m11x
however that function doesnt work anymore after updating (according to nbr and stringfellow).

so i guess the best way is to make sure the battery is fully charged. if brign to school, find a plug and connect to ur ac adpater before switching ur laptop on. this will ensure the laptop's battery fully charged and nvr been drained for a tiny bit.

i think the alienware heat spot will not be directly on top of the battery. they will surely find a way to design it.. smile.gif

recently many ppl cant charge their battery, its like a trend. i have no idea why also..
the benq i sold cannot be charged recently according to the buyer.
my fren's laptop also cant charge recently. but after restart or replugging battery then can charge edi.

btw, did u fully charge for like 3 hours when u first got ur laptop?
or u straight away jz open without the ac adapter on?

i told them to deliver at 4pm, they say cant and suggest to be delivered on saturday. i was like WTF... why cant make it 4pm?? no idea man.. they said the area is around 1-3pm..
pictures will be uploaded this saturday if i can receive it today.

darn ... i beleive the driver will accept my rasuah.
when he calls (i should be in the exam hall already), i will try answer and tell him send at 4pm. offer him rm20.. i beleive he will wait. or come back. petrol not he pay also. jz have to come back my area only.

yea, i noe.. i asked edi. but no one will be in hostel. not even those in other programs. basically my whole college is having exam at 2 to 4pm... how to get it, its either later if driver make it by 1pm, or later 4pm..
otherwise it would be saturday .. sigh.
