ati 3870 in crossfire.

agree with u, the result is solely from the min and recommended requirements . But it's still a good place to start.
*
why don't you upgrade to 4870 CF? 100% increment of gaming performance yo! laugh.gif

about shared memory, try to check in dxdiag. usually it will mention there. what's wrong with it actually?

even if you have 3 years complete cover, it doesn't mean that you can care-less of your rig wink.gif

yep, luck is out of our hand. but take a best care of something within our hand smile.gif

Thanks. You may be one of the very few people who "dont know what to do without me". tongue.gif I'd reckon a quite a few would be happy to see me gone, much less care if I die. biggrin.gif
Yup, that is the same overobsessiveness that I have myself. I'd mull and gripe and think about it, until I either fix it, or most of the time, made it even worse! laugh.gif Learnt my lesson though, I now just let it be.
*
ahaha! maybe the happy party is your last Dell SA!

just pullin your leg bro! tongue.gif

im still kinda worried whether it could actually run photoshop or other adobe softwares smoothly...cuz iv googled around...and some ppl said the proc is not good enough to handle it...

if possible any1 could run a test on it? thx blush.gif
*
know your limitation and do not overestimate smile.gif

i read a review said that it can handle light editing very well but consume a lot of battery. so its preferable to plug in the power supply during editing.

hi everyone, i just placed my order for M15x 2 days ago, and i checked my order status today, it shows order received, so just wondering how long does it take to proceed to the final stage (delivery) ?
*
its depend on the availability of hardwares.

if everything is fine, 10 days or two weeks is what you looking for smile.gif

I wonder when Alienware's M17x is gonna be customizable with the NVidia GTX 285M SLi? Cos Sager's top of the line is..... sad.gif
*
i don't think Alienware will even bother about GTX285M since it just GTX280M with higher clock. it more to gimmick of marketing, from what i see.

just wait till the announcement of GTX480M or something like that later. i know it still unclear when it will be release, but desktop version is already in mass production smile.gif

or maybe directly to ATi HD5850 CF biggrin.gif

Or leave it in sleep mode. If your habit/routine involves having to turn it on often, rather than turn if off then reboot again, waking it from Sleep/Hibernate is faster than a full reboot.

thats what i do. sometimes even for more than 2 weeks sweat.gif

any nice sleeve case for m15x?
*
QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Mar 18 2010, 01:41 AM)
don't know about lappy sleeve but if you have an extra money, go for Orion backpack. you will not regret it at all smile.gif

btw if you insist of getting sleeve, make sure you try first with your M15x because M15x's size is not like 15". its more like 17" sweat.gif

my m15x GPU temp at 51 degree Celsius and the core temperature about 58 degree celcius with balanced power option and stealth mode
without running any game
just open msn, google chrome and listen song
is that normal?
*
are you running the program on battery?

GPU is fine but CPU is slightly above average. nothing wrong i think.

try on Power Plan - High Performance and Stealth Mode OFF.

EDIT : typo.

after i change to high performance n switch off stealth mode, the temperature for the core up to 60
i suspect my fan got problem
how to check the fan speed?
*
what software did you use to monitor your temp?
mind to post the screenshot here? smile.gif

about fan speed, i doubt you can adjust anything since it already fixed on your BIOS.

try one hour of gaming, and make sure you use CPUID HWMonitor so you can know your max and min temp smile.gif

Hey doctor,
after update to A03 bios the dpc latency is much more better and fix my music shutter problem..
Yours have the shutter problem playing music when in A02 bios?

Now, another things that gave me a shock is the benchmark for SF IV score 69 fps..  shocking.gif

here the screenshot
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

before that is only 59 fps for SF IV, check my previous post..
all setting is same ..
*
i don't have any shuttering problem when playing music file so far.

are you sure not selecting V-Sync OFF in the option?

QUOTE(cy-yang @ Mar 18 2010, 06:32 PM)
haha.. yea..
is waiting him to online..
I think updating the bios won't take so huge affect on the benchmark right..  hmm.gif
*
what about other benchmarking? 3DMark06 or Vantage for example? or even other gaming benchmark such as Crysis or Dirt2?
