according to the specs from the official website, it support up to 2TB capacity storage

but for me, I'm using a 4 bay hdd enclosure with a total 4TB hdd plus another external hdd of 1TB, the POHD has no problems of detect it and playback all the sources inside the hdds
*
Hey bro, mind to share your 4 bay hdd enclosure type and HD brand? I am seriously thinking of getting this now, cause my internal 1.5TB is no longer enough

Any pics?

Hi Ngto, below is Larry, from AC Ryan Asia Pacific HQ, explanation for your question:

You required to install ThumbGen on your PC to generate Rich content images for your Movies.

Movie Folder Playback using Browser Mode (To use with ThumbGen Rich content images)

Use ThumbGen App, you can generate Rich content images which can be used on YAMJ as well.

How it works:
Have the DVD cover art named as folder.jpg placed into the folder of your movie. The moviesheet must been named as 0001.jpg. On browser, navigate to the folder. You should see the preview window showing the folder.jpg. Press [SLOW] on RC (Remote control), it will display 0001.jpg. Press [ENTER] on RC (Remote control) to play the movie.

Example
refer to Image_1

Movie Folder Playback showing DVD Cover art or DVD Thumbnail. Make sure generated thumbnail is named as folder.jpg
refer to Image_2

Showing Moviesheet after pressing [SLOW] on RC (Remote control). Make sure generated moviesheet from ThumbGen is named as 0001.jpg

Additional function, if you have multiple folders and have done generating the moviesheets, if you're on moviesheet preview, you may go to the next moviesheet by pressing [DOWN] or [UP] on RC (Remote control). You do not need to exit back to folder list in order to play the next show or see the next moviesheet.

Not sure if I am exactly answering to your question.

Cheers!

Hi Bro, would you consider Thecus, one of the famous NAS manufacturer? If you need to stream files in low bitrates, I will suggest you go for Thecus N4100Pro. But if you need higher bitrates, like original bluray rip, strongly suggest go for high-end NAS, either N5500 or N4200. If you need the price, pls PM me. Thanks.

Hi Ngto, furhter from Eugene explanation, pls read below:

As Larry has mentioned, ThumbGen is an application that creates content rich images and has to be stored under the same folder with the movie so that our firmware can display and work with it.
So for a movie titled for example “Spiderman”, can be stored within a folder like the following,
• Spiderman (FOLDER)
- Spiderman.mkv (VIDEO)
- folder.jpg (Coverart generated by ThumbGen)
- 0001.jpg (Movie sheet generated by ThumbGen)

And at the moment, ThumbGen can only work with movies in individual folders so you need to create a folder for each movie you have in the HDD.
Basically ThumbGen is just to create nice images to work with our Playon!HD firmware.

It is different with YAMJ, in the sense that YAMJ can be use to categorise and sort the Jukebox as Movies, TV Series, Genre, Title, Rating, Year, etc and display in a thumbnail fashion for selection.
Although YAMJ images are not as pretty as those generated by ThumbGen, it works differently but function nicely as a Movie Jukebox.

Please feel free to check back if you have more queries.

Dear All, pls remember that we will have a PlayOn!HD workshop on 31st July 2010, Saturday, from 2:15pm to 5pm. Location will be finalized this week. Pls let us know your problem and we will compile most common problems and let Eugene know the problem list. He will explain to you ya. Pls come and meet our tai kor Eugene.
This workshop is for Box Builder customers only and it is not free shakehead.gif , but in return, you will get more thumbup.gif . Patient, details will be announced soon. whistling.gif

Cheers.

What programs did you use to do that?

Or by default sharing the folder will be seen on the POHD?

The latest version, 1.1.1.2 . Yeap, when i finished download, clicked on the .exe file, it directly respond with error , something like fail to initialize properly.

So i update the framework 3.5, after that it can open and install.
