Guys, need some help here. I'm using the Official r2901 firmware. Everything is working fine except the NAS function, which is one of the main reasons I bought this POHD but it is not up to expectation, not even close.

I dun have internal HDD, just a USB Ex-HDD. Samba working fine.
I connect the POHD to my router via LAN cable. I connect my NB on XP also via LAN cable. I can access to the POHD but unable to copy any file above 1G (i think you guys know what I m talking about) to the POHD. Is there a solution to this problem? Pls point me to the right place if there is. I've tried acryan forum but coundn;t find the solution.

Boxbuilder, can you help?

How many seats available? Only for POHD owner or open for interested buyers as well?
*
About 100 seats and for POHD owners only, include mini also.

If Eugene himself is coming, better make sure he completes a very stable Firmware first, and also include DTS-MA and TrueHD bitstream or else he is gonna get bombarded left and right  biggrin.gif

Already prepare an amor for him liao. We will give some sweets to reduce the bombardment. brows.gif

Is your USB ex-hdd format under FAT32? For FAT32, the copy file size cannot bigger than 2GB. And pls do not consider the perfection of NAS function. Because it is an advantage for this function but performance is far below the standalone NAS only.

No. I have no problem copying 10G files from my NB to the Ex-HDD via USB. I have to do this because I can;t copy via LAN with the Ex-HDD attached to the POHD. and I had no problem copying 10G files via network when the ex-hdd was attached to my older PC.

So it is the POHD issue here. I wonder if other users having this problem or not?

Appreciate any help here.

make sure your subtitle name is the same as the movie name.
example:
Movie.mkv
Movie.srt

Hi Pals, I have an answer from Eugene, see this will help you or not:

Please advise your user, if he is currently running on our current official firmware version r2901, do also download the extension package and install them via Setup – System – Extension Package.
Here is the link to download the extension package. http://www.acryan.com/downloads/PV73100_Ex...ion_Package.zip

Alternatively, he may also want to try our latest beta version?
http://www.acryan.com/downloads/PV73100/Be...r3615_Asian.zip

We have also identified certain memory problems with the BT/SAMBA service and has already escalated to Realtek for a fix.
The above beta firmware version may still be a better version for transferring over SAMBA.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Cheers!

First basic need is what sort of files do you intend to play and can you get hold of them?

YSLYSL, it could be some sort of data corruption either physically with your hard disk or some cross link files etc. This is common with PC's and laptop hard disks and we basically run a check disk to fix the problem (most of the time). So since the AC Ryan PlayOn HD also uses a hard disk, it may very well be suffering from the same problem. Does your unit get very hot btw?

Old issue, already discussed it, left, right and center many times before. Don't expect TrueHD to be supported, ever!.

Right now , it can't even downmix it to stereo. AC Ryan blaming Realtek and Realtek just ignore and keep silent.

I knew this from the time I decided to buy POHD. The reason?
The file size is to big for me to ehem by myself.. so I restrict myself to only ~8GB mkv files.
The AV quality is sufficient for my need biggrin.gif

Sifu, how to avoid the problem? It can play nicely at 1st then can't play after a while...
like run a check disk? can it be done?
Also, how to check if it is hot?
