Hey guys,

I need some advise. I think my ps3 kena the green light of death. Just now after playing my game, I tried to shut down the system. Then the green light kept blinking and all I had was a blank screen.

So I tried to turn it off by turning off the main power. Then when I restart my ps3 back up, everything seemed ok. but when I tried to play the game..the game icon was missing. tried with a different game, also the same. its lik its not detecting my game anymore.

I don't play my ps3 that often anymore cause of work. So any suggestions on how to fix it? =(

Mine is the fat ps3. Summore just over warranty by a couple of months. sigh..summore I hardly get to play my ps3.

Any idea how much to fix it?

Mine is Malaysian set. How do I check the warranty?

Cause I only managed to find the receipt from the shop I bought it from and they gave me 18 months warranty (meaning I'm still under warranty until October this year).

Tried calling that number. They said since I didnt buy the ps3 from a Sony Centre..I have to contact the dealer.

I guess I'll go back to lowyat this weekend to find the shop.

Haha yea..lesson learnt. But I remember that time Sony Centre was selling it so much more expensive than the other shops.

Oh well, at least this shop gave me 18 months warranty. Sony would have only given a year.

Just changed my lense. RM400 to change. sighhhhh. heart burn.
