hi guys, just bought ps3 last week(2nd hand).

But i notice when i play games, the display is terrible; like 480p resolution been stretch out to fit 1080p resolution. The pixel are obvious.
I play this game:WWE 2009, Winning Eleven 2009.
I use 42inch LG LCD with HDMI cable input.

Need help from more experience members here sad.gif

Here is pic of we2009, but i think WWE 2009 is more obvious because the character is big; can see the pixel.
for we2009, my LCD detect 576p 50Hz input from HDMI port.

@isone

Your TV is 1080p right?
Go to your display settings and MAKE SURE you tick 720p.

Games that doesn't have 1080p upscale support will be dumped down to 480p or 576p if you do not have 720p ticked.
Only a handfull of games you are able to force it into running in 1080p.

It's better if you can do double check on the console and the TV. You should have the TV remote control, right? Press the "INFO" button and see if the display is at "1920x720 @ 60Hz" (for Winning Eleven 2010) or some other resolutions and the refresh rate. It takes some settings to be done on both sides. I'd say it's best to spend a few minutes for it to enjoy the gaming experience at its full capacity.

I did browse  little on the first page of this pinned thread. There's more than enough information that one can read on his or her own. Maybe you can have a look there "isone".

If you don't understand it after reading, you can always ask in here. I'm sure there are helpful people around here.
