guys..need help here..

i just bought a full hd tv..before this i played ps3 using the yellow video cable (component/composite; not sure)..so when i changed to hdmi cable, it wont detect any changes..the screen just blank for a long time..ive tried to switch it off and on but the problem still there..anyone can help?

done that..but nothings changed..huhuu..

dont think its cable problem..coz at first, it detect the cable..but when the system try to process the change of input, i turn off my ps3 coz i thought it hang/no response..

at that time, the screen goes blank for a while..so i thought it was hang or got no response..until i called my fren, he says that that was normal..teh screen will go blank for a while..

can ps3 play pirate dvd? i heard its it can but not recommended,can someone confirm this? oso, can it play movies from usb thumb drive? thanks ina dvance..

i googled for this "effect on ps3 by pirated dvd" but found no one says it will damage the ps3 lens..only in lowyat forum i heard that it will damaged the lens..just want to know whether this particular info from lowyat forum is actually a myth or based on users experience or a solid fact..
