Hey guys,is PSN down or something?Haven't been able to sign in for the last 2 days.I keep getting error 80710B23.I already tried the fix recommended by other users by changing it's MTU to 1486 and it still doesn't work.I can still browse the net though.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for the input guys but this is definitely weird,i had no problems signing in 3 days ago when i bought the PS3..i even messed around in HOME,hmm..will try signing in again later.

Argh..i'm still not able to sign in..man,im starting to lose hope..

I have no problems accessing the Internet on my laptop or the Internet Browser on the PS3. The only thing I am unable to do is sign into PSN.

Obtain IP Address - Succeeded
Internet Connection - Succeeded
Playstation Network - Failed

Ah~sorry about that...i ain't no expert when it comes to computer/internet mumbo jumbo and stuff lol.I did an ip check via ipconfig(am i doing this right?)

I'm not using a router btw, i'm using wireless broadband(Digi) connected to the PS3 via a cross cable with my laptop.I did try entering the IP address manually on the PS3 like someone suggested but instead of getting the usual error i got the DNS error instead.Thinking back,I wonder why i was able to sign into PSN without any problems 4 days ago,i even downloaded 2 demos and messed around in HOME..weird.

Using your method,i don't get the DNS error anymore however my previous error remains...(error 80710B23)

Betas me,all i did was revert back to the original theme n i could sign in no problem..never heard of themes interfering with network connections though.
