my 2yr+ PS3 is officially ylod

dun kill me if the following questions were asked bfor as I've searched the term "ylod" and am still missing some details :

1. found out in d forum that setting deep video color to off under display setting wld possibly help. true?
2. is it worth getting it fix or buying a new slim wld b better?

I guess it is true dat phat PS3 life span is ard 2yr+ until u get ylod

yes..but if u afraid to open, just clean the intake / exhaust hole..just to make sure the ventilation is in perfect condition

sorry i can't help since i never use the fan..actually fan got different noise ratio

1. nope. nothing to do with the display setting can fix ylod
2. sadly, once got ylod consider getting a new one, send for repair only if you want deactivate your psn id

Im so worried now because my PS3 is the phat version plus i bought my PS3 from Singapore(not from sony but a local shop there)

Is it true if something wrong with my PS3 then i send it back to the shop to repair my psn id will be deactivate?

60gb and 40gb ps3 phat variants are prone to ylod

80gb ps3 phat should be ok...

does anyone else than me having problem to sign in to psn?

let's say if I bought a new slim and restore from my backup, I wld still be using my existing psn id, right? thx

nope. I believe restore using hdd data transfer doesn't count restoring psn id, even so you need to repair first your faulty console to use this method

if you bought any DLCs by your own or share with your friend, then you need to deactivate first. Do keep in mind that max per-use and share for one psn id is 5

when i played ssf4 online, psn is always dc, say that it lost connection with psn...Can help me pretty plz?
