I was gonna jailbreak my iphone 3gs 3.0.1 using pwnagetool 3.1.5 when I suddenly found redsn0w to also have jailbreak for windows, even better as pwnagetool only have mac. Redsn0w's method seems to be much easier.

i think if u r planning to jailbreak 3gs 3.1.2 from 3.0.1... redsn0w and blackrain is definitely not an option since u cant restore to 3.1.2 anymore (assuming this is ur device first time jailbreak...ergo no 3.1.2 ECID saved)
