Then u can start to check the rubber lining on the boot. At the same time I also suspect the roof cushion are too close or maybe touch the roof, so when our car roof is cold (when we park outside) it tends to wet the cushion as well. But this is just my wild guess, perhaps you can verified that.

I drove with MT CPS.
Throttle respond wise, have 0.5sec ~ 1sec delay when press in padel.
When go to shift gear, we can see that engine still keep the RPM for 0.5~1sec as well .. then only drop. rclxub.gif

it is a normal for drive by wire car have throttle lag. its not about high or low end electronic(due to emission cntrl, test driven mazda 3,it is the same thing). but it can be minimize by upgrading the ecu so that any input will deliver faster info from accelerator sensor to the ecu. and thats why pivot n other company make a product for setting the electronic throttle such as pivot e-throttle.
yeah,it can be minimised by changing to iridium spark plug, decat or lighten cam pulley, but the best effect is to change the ecu to 32bits one as in persona elegance. just wait n try to ask proton whether they are provide any upgrade of ecu's for cps engine. try to drive the persona elegance, u feel it is better in the low end n less throttle lag compare to cps

Pivot e-throttle? It won't help actually.

wow, pls dont teach wrong thing to people. come on man...

do you know why people invented drive by wire? The sole purpose is to prevent throttle lag lah! apart from other purposes (like prevent mechanical failure, etc). If your DBW throttle has lag, it is clearly an issue resulted by proton. it should not lag. and no, the lag cannot be minimized by changing to iridium spark plug/decat/LCP. DBW controls the throttle flap ma.. there is no relation throttle flap opening time to those things. those things just increase the revving easeness, not the time to start revving after pressing the throttle!!

oh man...  doh.gif
*
It has nothing to do with he TB flap response either (if u check the response, it open almost instantly when accelerator pedal is floored). Few degree of flap opening able to make the car start to move, bear in mind the full opening is only 45deg. It's the engine characteristic & chassis weight tat does the matter. LCP to reduce little load off the engine by allowing engine to revving lightly & that improve on the acceleration at the same time. If u take a drive on LCP and non-LCP installed engine u can feel the different in terms of lagging.

By the way what car you drive now? Is it DBW? How does the response during acceleration?
