maybe we can get some details by looking at the power output graph? I believe they only make the changes on the high lift since paultan's website mentioned the 0-100 still takes approx 9.2secs which is quite same as our normal CPS right?

Added on March 31, 2010, 1:31 pm
How fast your car 0-100 timing? Mine never reached below 10s.

I think 9.2s for a 1.6 N/A is above average. Not really impressive unless it's around 8-9s. The Neo still quite heavy. Slim it a bit more sure can get faster 0-100. Maybe get it around BLM weight.

The overall performance package might justify the 115k price but the interior certainly doesn't match the price. Just the Nappa leather is great but the rest of the interior looks no different than Neo.

For straight line performance, quarter mile is the best smile.gif

I don't mind the Nappa leather seats but at least have a better racing steering wheel than using the stock Neo steering
*
Yup the steering looks so out of place for a 115K car. Now I understandly perfectly why Top Gear condemn the Neo interior. Should have match a better interior with the performance upgrade.

QUOTE(greddy @ Apr 3 2010, 05:00 PM)

BTW the above is my personnel experience in kuantan biggrin.gif ... there's this bypass road from semambu main road to the highway heading to kemaman, it cuts through a besi buruk and a temple... it's a winding road.. not sure the distance but quite short stretch... i found the road by chance when using GPS and let me tell you every time i head to kemaman back from kuantan i never fail to race that road... (can't use nighttime as it is pitch dark and you're simply asking for trouble). Every turn the tire screams and understeer and i play with brake and throttle all the way... 3rd gear max.... wow... i got a lil bit excited didn't i... hahahahah blush.gif CPS ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

mrl you in kuantan right... you know the road?

Anyway does GEN2 CPS has ESC? if it does i don't know if it's helping me or not....
Bro how do you plan to cut the power from engine to each wheel individually??? and what if it's  a front wheel/rear wheel drive... these doesn't have power on all wheel does it.... that being said you can however cut the power from the engine to all wheel at one go.. similar to engaging your clutch... ESC applies brake to individual wheels...
*
I know that road by heart. You'll pass a water treatment plant and school. After that just loneliness. Be careful because a lot of lorry and buses uses that road too. Before the Jabor highway was open, I usually used that road to cuts into the unfinished highway leading to gebeng.

i was wondering. I got my gen2cps recently. the sticker at the driver door which states tyre pressure (210 for front and 190 for rear) , is it reliable?

because i was following the pressure stated but when i pumped the air, the tyres were like 255psi or so. the stated max pressure on the tyre itself says 300psi.

which should i follow? thanks guys.

also, whats the average price of trading-in a set of stock rims for something newer?

and i got a free RM150 voucher for CoolWorld. Any bad experiences with them?
*
Eh 255psi? That is in kpa isn't. New car always have high tyre pressure. Mine was 40psi when I got it.

Hi all, I'm newbie here.

Just got my Waja CPS (M) on Mar 22. After waited for 1 month.
I got only discount 2K for the year 2010 manufacture.

only 20 kilometre biggrin.gif soon going for 1st service.

So far the ride, i can tell good thumbup.gif . Leather seat very comfortable, ride, i really can feel the power compare my previous ride (Matrix 1.6 M).

Only some of the "Biasalah" issue with Proton.
1) Reverse sensor not working. But funny, when I put reverse gear, the sensor will make beep sound once, but when reverse no sensor  rclxub.gif
2) Like mention earlier on this forum, small stupid light not light up. Seat belt.

3) After long ride... I can noticed my CPS coolant dripped on the floor. not so much, but few drops (green). After some checking found out its dripping from the spare tank. And noticed it’s NOT dripping from the host, but from the cover. Anyone have same issue? pls advise.

Thanks all.. I can tell this forum very help full for newbie like me
*
That's just minor problems lar sweat.gif hehe. I think all is covered by warranty. So better earlier problems than later. But of course the best is no problem at all isn't. Maybe your coolant in the spare tank is overfilled. Hope nothing really major. Some are lucky but some are not so lucky.

Since your previous ride was Matrix 1.6 I think waja CPS is a step up. Congrats to you. Waja CPS is better than most japanese entry level car. I remember my first time testing my new car I noticed that why is all the other cars are so slow especially at corners. Then I realized it's my car that's fast and it just loves corner. Some of my friend who upgraded to certain japanese makes are die hard proton bashers. They were comparing their cars to their previous rides of wiras, sagas/iswaras. The easiest thing to do to shut their mouth was to get them inside my car.

Even buy civic you don't get leather seat r icon_idea.gif . Almost all of them comment wah kereta baru sudah tukar seat. When realized the leather seat comes stock standard they just blurred. Maybe thinking about their plain fabric seat in their vios, altis, civics. Some of their bashes I agree but most I don't.

fazron, are talking abt matrix is a japanese car? hyundai/inokom matrix is korean la wei... tongue.gif
*
no lar. I know matrix is hyundai so korean. What I meant was a lot of people thinks japanese cars are an upgrade of their wiras, iswaras sagas etc. That's why they choose vios and so on. But the thing is waja, persona or gen2 nowadays are quite decent compared to entry level japanese cars. They thought wajas gen2 and all newer protons are the same as their previous wiras.

i drive the gen2, so i get 15" 55 series as stock... not 60...  rclxms.gif

so far, only few makers have this 195/55/R15, but most going for comfort with little performance... Potenza is available, but heard the grip is only so-so among performance tires... trying to see other options like Hankook, Maxxis, Falken, and other manufacturers... heard Hankook is good and cheap... how good are they???
*
I'm using hankook V12. Honestly for me it's better than silverstone stock tyres. Perhaps a little bit louder with its V design thread. Last year it was cheap. Don't know this year's price. For 55 series you can try falken 912 also. I think Toyo have 55 series too.

i use PS3 for 3 days and i junk it...
smile.gif

Huhu should junk it to me lar. Wah the LYN tyre thread was all praising the PS3 as the next big thing. What's the best tyre for you then so far? I so far only have experience with hankook v12 and for me its good. Well worth my money.

I was being tailgate by perdana V6 he nearly can almost smoke me at 170kmh during the sprint but later got car so he cannot overtake...lupe la got more power car haha
*
Maybe the perdana already change engine. Fight with bigger cc engine always have to play with 3rd/4th gear. CPS @3rd gear so powerful. But when at high speed acceleration cant win lar higher cc car. Manual have a better chance against auto.

I second group dyno. Before this, someone proposed. But no one bring up the topic dy. lol

Count me in the dyno thing if I'm available tongue.gif

Tried the 3rdgear@ rev cut 7.2k last night while driving back to Kuantan and my result is 140km/h. Anyone saying the city ivtec is more powerful than cps is wrong. No contest. So easy to leave them behind. Civic ivtec provide tougher competition. No replacement for displacement.

I guess the one that I met before might've been lightly modded coz that city is indeed faster than other city ivtec i've found... though only provide some entertainment to me in a long journey from Kuantan to Penang coz it's not too hard to catch up... laugh.gif

no replacement for displacement nod.gif

I wonder if I'll be available on the group dyno too... drool.gif
*
Maybe that city change to manual edi hehe tongue.gif Me like to play with civic or lancer gt on highway. BMW and alphard also can give good entertainment. Syiok lar their car is quite power even with auto tranny. Full throttle can't lose them but they can't lose me either.

Vios J is not what I prefer to drag with sweat.gif Usually give way to them coz scared they go terbang if I push them too hard. Vios backside easily float if takes corner too fast.

I think mine is 14 cent too@6.8l/100km. Digital fc shows 5.6l/100km but that's not at all correct.

Anyone here driving waja CPS with AGS plate no.? Saw one near my house.

so far only clean the aircond filter. Be careful when doing aircond service. They like to claim your coil is kong when it isn't.
