I think Fragnetics is jerky cause of the packet loss; there seems to be some problem with the line in Johor that connects us to Singapore.

People just have to see what classes are needed. 9 times out of 10 we need more people to assault. Even if you prefer recon switch to assault, or you can even stay recon and equip a shotgun or smg.

Everyone should just focus fire on the copters, it damages them.

Anyone tried using non-auto shotties with Slugs and Magnum ammo?
I'm using the Neostead with them, it kicks ass. One-shots people from medium range.
At close range the aiming is rather wonky though. I blame the netcode. Also, NEVER move when firing a shotty with slugs, you WILL MISS.
*
Sounds good, I'm gonna try this, I'm always a fan of shotties. Not that I'm particularly good at them, just like them.

When you want to search for the Thai server, type in

SALUZI

Make sure it's all in upper case; the search is case sensitive.

I'm getting this game. How bad are the connection issues? And forgive me I'm sure this has been stated somewhere but is it disk check? Or can I avoid putting the DVD in if online or something?
*
Heh thread is too long to read all of it now, so can't blame you for asking.

Connection issues are very annoying; but the game is so good we bang our heads on the wall to get in. Aside from EA not having enough server capacity, there's the usual Streamyx problems.

You can choose disk check, or online authentication. If you use online, it will authorize you for 5 years or something like that. I chose the online version.

That's not to say you can't play the game after 5 years right? That's a new one to me hmm.gif  I'll look into this further. Thanks.
*
Sorry wasn't clear, what it means is that after 5 years it will check online again. So after my five years are up, the game queries the master server.

If that doesn't work, you can always fall back on disk check. But it's definitely a lot more convenient without the disk check.

Thanks for the info, have gotten the game but have not time to play yet. BTW does download version work, cos I do not have a DVD rom on my com, can I use the download copy and authenticate with original CD-key to play online?
*
I don't see why not, it should work if the download version is a full retail version. Sometimes pirated stuff don't have final code tho.

I would rather the physical copy tho, it's a lot cheaper. On Steam it would set you back about 190. If you get it from TSB or pcgame.com.my it's 129.

What are final codes? Well TBH I downloaded it from torrent, but I got my copy from TSB. So Im just wondering if I can just run the CD-key and play using the torrent iso.

I always do that to my other ori games, but not sure bout EA since they need the CD thing. Its an EA issue.
*
Sometimes pirated versions are pre-release code, not final, i.e not the same as retail. And if that is the case you will run into problems if the code is not exactly the same as retail.

If you don't have dvd-rom, borrow someone's laptop with a drive, then network it. You can network the drive of the laptop and install from there.

How come I can't see the pings of the servers? That column is empty.

It's something to do with Windows Privileges. If you want to see the ping, use Run As Administrator.

I know, but the server browser dosen't show them . Any way to force-ip connect ?

Use the search function, search for

Fragnetics
SALUZI
MBTCENTRAL

Make sure to use the proper case, it's case sensitive. After you type it in, hit the search button, don't hit enter on your keyboard.

Can everyone go to that link? I think that it sums up pretty well what to do, even has a Youtube link for those who need more visual instruction.

I prefer it, no more dolphin diving, and harder to camp. Tho some games still become a campfest.

what's with the prone though actually? because i never had problem with that prone thingy... it helps me a lot when sniping

I too miss prone when sniping, but hell man the snipers already have a field day without it anyway. Sometimes the game gets so dreadfully boring when half the team is sniping. I can only imagine it will get worse if there was prone!
