guys,

just to share experience with you all.

1) if park at area with down hill slope, never ever move the car by simply releasing the hand brake (with N gear and ignition off) and control the movement with foot brake. the BAS is not there so the brake is not working. (or maybe have to press harder?). nearly lost control of my car and only able to stop them by pulling the handbrake.
so for precaution, should move the car with engine running or maybe with ignition on will do.

2) never ever leave thumb drive attached to the usb port when not in use. mine after 2 months seldom take out the drive from the port, now the thumb drive becoming dumb drive. i think spoilt already. actually it was stated earlier in the manual that we should not practice leave them attached when starting the car. this could result in damage to the thumb drive.  havent check yet on the usb port. pray hard it is working fine and only the thumb drive spoilt.

weird.. when check on PC the thumb drive is fine.
then put back into usb slot in the car then able to read them back. hmmmm..
not sure what was wrong earlier.. (yesterday it shows could not read USB)

For (1), no one should ever attempt to move a car without turning the ignition on. Putting the gear into N and releasing the handbrake regardless of any road surface is simply looking for trouble. No brakes, no proper steering, no engine and throttle, and no safety devices on... very dangerous.

For (2), like you said the manual did warn against leaving the USB plugged in. Leaving it in for short periods is pretty safe, but it's better not to risk losing your data. I usually leave the USB in but only in secured parking places or at home, otherwise I'd pull it out and hid the USB drive in the central storage or glove box. Keep it safe from prying eyes and itchy hands, even though nowadays thumb drives are a dime a dozen.

Anyway, a comparison between the interior of the K5 and the upcoming Sonata. The K5's console and dash is pretty reminiscent of the 5 series. The Sonata's is less cluttered with buttons but I'm no fan of the excessive curves.

that has nothing to do with how naza is as a 'screwdriver' (quote rafidah aziz) car company.........but the ability to get enough ap's and rebadge the cars as 'local'.............

btw, in case you don't know, what you pay naza is still significantly HIGHER than the REAL value of the cars......case in point, the forte/cerato 2.0 sells for aud25k in oz, or rm75k.......... 

ha ha.... I just back down from Pikes Peak and had to save my relative from their kaputted Toyota .... sheez. Anyway just to let u guys know Forte's AutoGearbox gear ratios are designed very well - for MOUNTAINS! yeh! if u ever wondered why we have a short 1st gear & a long 2nd gear now u know!

Anybody already install Bodykit to your lovely Forte?

I saw a White Forte with bodykit finished passing by Melaka near batu berendam there this wed, plate no. PJL 19X6 is it belongs to any forumer here? It was so nice on white forte, feel so sporty...

anyway here is something I would like to share with u guys, not sure if u guys know this feature or not

switch to tiptronic and step the pedal to the metal, it will upshift automatically once it hits the redline
my right hand holding the steering as u all can see, while left hand holding the camera recording so no cheating

hahaha well scare or not i dunno but i went to petrol station after that, filled up RM90 again LOL which is 50L (already 3 times, i got 2 of the receipt with me) let me post it up later hehe
well AFAIK i dont think it will lor

its hold on some slopes but those steep slopes you'll need to use handbrake or brakes or press on fuel pedal a bit. its the autobox design nothing to worry about we just have to get use to it then its fine.
