3 months waiting for my 2.0. Any SA promising anything? even if it sounds like false hope.

QUOTE(kiaforteclub @ Mar 1 2010, 08:44 AM) to me since i tested the 2.0 i find its 10 times more fun than my 1.6. just my opinion. my 1st choice but since needed car i downgraded to 1.6 but still fun to drive. who knows maybe later when have more $$$ can upgrade back to 2.0 forte again..... 2.0 acceleration as expected would be quicker. Can u share your opinion regarding the steering feel . The 2.0 motor-driven vs 1.6 electric hydraulic. Heavier or lighter at low speed? Too sensitive maybe? More or less road feedback? More/less precision? Which steering set up would u prefer? Thanks for any info coz you‘re among the few who has driven both forte spec. |

forte = civic killer.
new kia sportage = CRV killer. SMS my SA todaay asking rumour 2.0 delivery 22March true or not. He replid ... 'bring relevant document for loan next monday'. At least a progress after booked it 6 disember. I know someone asked before... "how long can hold a non-tender plate no?" 1 or 3 months? And will a car's (forte) resale value decrease significanlty after 5 yrs if it already has 300,000km on odometer instead of only 100,000? plan to drive forte to work 160km per day. |

QUOTE(x5m5 @ Mar 3 2010, 04:52 PM) x5m5 was right ... it's in some showroom today .. and should be in most by next week. So registration and delivery somewhat between 15 and 22 march as rumoured. Booked 6 December. Tomorrow 6 March .. the day to decide... will or will i not provide my SA with the documents for bank loan? Tonite .. family budget presentation and 'parliment' will convene. Arghhh ... the tension. |

QUOTE(Nightsoldier @ Mar 5 2010, 08:26 PM) I finally booked my Forte 2.0 this morning. Hope to join you guys asap! Haa?? What price increase???? My SA also mentioned that the 2.0 are just "cleared" and delivery will begin really soon. Due to the "technical" issue with the CBU-->CKD, these cars were held up. And the PRICE INCREASE, according to her, will come through, just a matter of WHEN the memo is received. anytime. |

I'm brand conscious (or unconscious?). But kia forte is too much a big bang for buck .. esp the 2.0. Just hantam drive it 160km /day for next 5 years to work .. then buy D-seg car or MPV. Maybe 5 yrs form now kimchi brand on par with sushi (in my head that is).

QUOTE(toytoy @ Mar 8 2010, 03:34 PM) Confirmed from the manual the smart key is not rechargeable, slot is for use when battery in the smart key is too low. Thought so too. If can recharge... handphones would be the first to use the technology. Wireless handphone recharging Refer downloaded manual Page 9 and Page 49. |

QUOTE(twtang @ Mar 9 2010, 11:12 AM) my SA told me last Friday when he called me, 150 units of 2.0 for allocation. According to him, (maybe I shouldn't say this) no. of buyers > no. of cars, and not everyone entitled in the first batch. Not suprised there're many quiet 2.0 bookers out there reading this forum .. yet ready to pounce at first chance when car arrive. I booked from dealer ... please la don't max my waiting time to 120 days ... |
