Hi folks, I've got some info on the gear ratios of the Koup...I think it should be similar to Forte's? The 4th gear is around 0.7x while the City is 0.5x (5th gear)....that may explain why it's more quiet on highway. But I think we drive around 110km/h should be fine...

I think the Optima (K5) should be a 'smaller' version of the full-sized K7. They look to have similar styles...

I saw a lot of pictures of Forte unloading in Port Klang. So, I think Naza really knows how to "make movie"!!!

I think what they did was take all the parts, assemble it in Gurun, then load into container, then send it to Port Klang, make a "fake show" with customs that they need to pay import duty (causing us not to get it b4 CNY), then unload it there and take pictures!

...the other story is that they took a fully imported car, change the badge, or maybe just assemble one door, and call it CKD....but nah, how could that be true? So story no.1 is the correct one

Do you guys know how long it takes from HQ "keying in" data until the K1 comes out? I've been waiting ~3-4 days already but still no news.

For those who hear SAs tell them that waiting time is only two weeks, I hope that you don't act too quickly to sell off your old car, like my case. I booked it end of Dec and I'm still waiting. It seems like their definition of two weeks equals "2x30days".




I think new buyers will really wanna know how their cars are really assembled besides legal definition. Anyway, that was just some sarcastic speculation (I also mentioned in both 'stories' they are CKD). I think someone could make separate discussion topic for that and discuss other things in this thread.

The correct word is "DEADLINE"....you can check dictionary, 'dateline' totally different meaning. So many ppl make the mistake

I've just received my babe yesterday night !!!

However, this morning already needed to send to service center because got "spring" noise in my driver cushion. It makes a squeaking sound every time my body moves. They said need to check further on weekdays..seems like nobody have this issue before

Anyway, it's a great car to drive! I also saw a 2.0 in the showroom, the leather was great!! Hope the 2.0 folks get theirs ASAP...

CONGRATS BRO!!! From my experience all kinds of things may "delay" the registration process, so just make sure all documents and all payments are accounted for, otherwise the HQ will not key in data for K1. I had a delay of 2-3 weeks after getting allocation just because the SA misunderstood some of the procedures .

Looks like with this news can start off with V5 of the forum d.... (140+ pages)
