Is the rumour about the price hike true?

And congratz for those who will receive their car before CNY. For those who don't, we're in the same situation.

lesson in history..........

about 10+ years ago, nazakia brought in a 2.5l mpv called the carnival as cbu from korea, and sold it for rm170k........a few years later, they 'localised' the car, ckd in msia with some local parts, and was given 'local car' status, with cheaper duties.........and relaunched the mpv as the ria priced at 90k.........

overnight, people who bought carnival finds the second hand value of their car dropped by 70k...........

this has been repeated several times since.........

this is called nazarisation.........

I know about Kia Carnival and Naza Ria. It is just that this is the first time I heard the word "nazarised" or "nazarisation". Forte is already CKD. The same with Peugeot 308 variants, with the exception of 308GT.

But if you have another meaning for "nazarised", I will stand corrected.

ESP applies brake automatically to individual wheels - either the outer front wheel to counter oversteer [if rear tyre skids] , or the inner rear wheel to counter understeer [if front wheel skids].

meaning you ESC not working?
*
Normally, it indicates that ESP is activated.

I took this from another forum. To test the ESP you could either run through a big pool of water fast (maybe above 90KM/h) or just step on the accelerator hard in a roundabout until the ESP light blinks.

FOr existing owners , lets make sure this car will surpass the market expectation of Korean lousy car idea ...

in 3-5 years time let's see will they still say Jap cars are the best ..... 2G /4G city owners with 7 speed gear box are keeping quiet ....

Vios owner have nothing much to say cause what that car have forte have it .. there's alot of things Forte have that Vios doesn't have..oh yah 1 thing FORTE doesn't have that the Vios have - Key to start engine biggrin.gif (SX only)- now beat this

Anyhow Vios we will still see alot of buyer because of the reputation they have for so many years....

City owner will still have pride because in the end City will still be a nice car , will you trade a brand name for extra car space and gadgets is the question here ... think about it

Latio ar don't think in the league biggrin.gif if I am not mistaken still using drum break for the rear end

Forte is definitely a good car. But the question remains whether NAZA could do a good after sales service. According to what I'd read, Toyota has a really good after sales service, while NAZA totally f**k it up.

**Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing Forte. My only concern is NAZA (I'm also getting a car from NAZA/Nasim).

The after sale service rating probably depend on individual centre.
The SC I went to was actually quite good, they help to to retified my allignment and the traction control warning light that appear on the first day I collected my car. The service was quite fast, and did it very profesionally. I was very surprised in this since I always read about NK bad service on the internet.

Oh. That's good to hear.

Hi all,

One of the SA from Kampung Baru branch told me that there are no more CBU Forte 1.6 SX...but they still consider the CKD unit sold currently as CBU because the CKD unit came in to Malaysia as whole unit car just without doors and typres being assembled...is that true?  hmm.gif

Naza Forte is CKD since the bigbang.

I thought all gated shift gear don't have lock? only those straight line gear change have shift lock?

It depends actually. For an example, in Pug308, to change the gear from P, you have to press the brake pedal.
