about 10+ years ago, nazakia brought in a 2.5l mpv called the carnival as cbu from korea, and sold it for rm170k........a few years later, they 'localised' the car, ckd in msia with some local parts, and was given 'local car' status, with cheaper duties.........and relaunched the mpv as the ria priced at 90k.........

overnight, people who bought carnival finds the second hand value of their car dropped by 70k...........

this has been repeated several times since.........

Vios owner have nothing much to say cause what that car have forte have it .. there's alot of things Forte have that Vios doesn't have..oh yah 1 thing FORTE doesn't have that the Vios have - Key to start engine (SX only)- now beat this

Anyhow Vios we will still see alot of buyer because of the reputation they have for so many years....

City owner will still have pride because in the end City will still be a nice car , will you trade a brand name for extra car space and gadgets is the question here ... think about it

The after sale service rating probably depend on individual centre.
The SC I went to was actually quite good, they help to to retified my allignment and the traction control warning light that appear on the first day I collected my car. The service was quite fast, and did it very profesionally. I was very surprised in this since I always read about NK bad service on the internet.

Hi all,

One of the SA from Kampung Baru branch told me that there are no more CBU Forte 1.6 SX...but they still consider the CKD unit sold currently as CBU because the CKD unit came in to Malaysia as whole unit car just without doors and typres being assembled...is that true? 

I thought all gated shift gear don't have lock? only those straight line gear change have shift lock?
