I can see the trend who were previously active in this forum will gradually disappear after they collected their forte.
Most likely this thread will eventually die. cry.gif

Bro, no worries ... the forum wont die ... these few days everyone busy with CNY activities and long holidays ma, so expected to have little activities here nod.gif

I think after people getting their cars, they will have more to share on FC, any potential issues, and needless to say MODS!!! biggrin.gif ... In order to really enjoy my Forte, i am doing one mod at a time ... slowly and enjoy the process ... just to share with you guys my mods in the pipeline for the next 6 months:

1. Sharkfin Antenna
2. Change SX emblem to SLi emblem to complete my exterior mod to original Korean version
3. DIY front door courtesy light
4. Apply 303 Aerospace Protectant on the dashboard, 3rd break light panel, head and tail lights, bumpers (grey plastic area), the rubber trim for windows and doors and lastly the tires & rims.
5. K&N Air Filter

Ok, time for FC report from my Si Merah Pedas.

1. Pumped full tank Petronas Primax 95 at Rawang, drove balik kampung to Kuantan the next day (mostly highway).. only half tank used. Trip meter shows average 8.0l/100km.

2. On my way back to KL, pumped full tank Petronas Primax 97 (eh, primax 95 and 97 can campur ar?).. at first, trip meter shows average 6.8l/100km, then after stuck at the long jammed at Karak highway, trip meter shows average 7.1/100km.. Only quarter tank used to reach KL.. wohoooo...

Overall, as a conclusion, forte FC is superb rclxms.gif

Any recommendation to get better FC? fuel brand? driving style?

Yup currently only 1.6 OTR ... no confirmed news for 2.0 just yet.

As for resale value, i wouldnt say that its low or high cos none in the 2nd hand or trade in market yet. if NAZA were to bring up the price slightly and gradually, then i dont think the resale value will be that bad ... Spectra has a very bad resale value cos of the bad FC, now Forte FC is a lot better than Spectra and not to mention all the features and good look ... if the demand for Forte is there, the resale value will not be low. I really hope that NAZA will throw in the 5 yrs warranty with a slight increase in price, that will boost the sale, change people's mentality (poor quality and expensive spare parts) and also increase the resale value, which will further conbribute to the sale.

As for other flaws, none so far after driving for almost 2 months but slightly less than 3K km only biggrin.gif

Not to mention the huge discounts that the SA give to Spectra buyers over the years. That dragged the price even lower. So that's why there will be no more discounts for Naza Kia cars, to protect the buyers.

1) can campur.. it'll became ron96 tongue.gif
2) ron97 will give you better mileage in expense of higher price. but it is justified. recommended for long distance drive. city drive i guess will waste your money only.
3) dunno la i suddenly become anti-shell.. read&heard Caltex is the best, then BHP & Esso/mobil, Petronas also good.
4) OKU drive... biggrin.gif

Hi guys, I need some advice... thinking to get either the SX 1.6 or 2.0.. mainly using for city driving from home to office distance about 20km. But, once in awhile I would like to make outstation trips like Genting, Ipoh or Penang.

Would it be wise to get the 2.0 for better fuel efficiency compared to the 1.6 city for mostly city driving?

Im driving a Wira A/B 1.5 auto and is slow as a kancil when driving up Genting. How much better will the forte 1.6 be compared to my Wira when going uphill ?

Which is most ideal for me 1.6 or 2.0 ?

city 1.6 more than sufficient
2.0 recommended for those doing many outstation runs / mth.

Guys, I'm not sure which type to pump, 95 or 97. I drive to work everyday from Seremban to Cyberjaya, around 100km per day, but I'm not using highway, I use old road to avoid tol. Certain places can goes up to 100km/h but most of the time 60-80km/h. In this case, which type of petrol do better on fuel consumption.

no way to save lar other than driving smoothly. use ron95 to really save money with ahpek driving style.
ron97 expensive even the extra kms are offset by the higher price so not much savings.
the car is running fine with ron95 worst fc is with shell. try others with eazy access in your area.
