by the way, reali hard to do variable speed... but i did variable rpm gua...
got 2 times hit slightly above 4k rpm... hopefuli didnt do damage to him...

Finally got my Forte today..driving whole day till now..
hmm some minor defect spotted..
1. ESP light keep showing off.
2. Fog lamp condensation? its normal.?
3. Seat belt indicator is off even tho i didnt put on seat belt.
4. Alignment of the car is totally off.

Between, replace the naza to kia emblem.
Try use the dental floss method but its just too hard..in the end i use a screwdriver cover with cloths gently remove it..

Haven't really got the time drive my forte. busy at home then now back grandparent house for dinner. Maybe later go home and have the tarik with friends can enjoy the ride.

Added on February 14, 2010, 12:17 amCongrats Bro! 3 is normal and 4 you can get it fixed at SC (please take note that not all SC can fix alignment). As for 1, i think this is a defect and you should fix it. I think some are having the condensation problem as well, but mine is ok. It is worth it to highlight to the SC when you go to fix your alignment problem.

guys,

just to share experience with you all.

1) if park at area with down hill slope, never ever move the car by simply releasing the hand brake (with N gear and ignition off) and control the movement with foot brake. the BAS is not there so the brake is not working. (or maybe have to press harder?). nearly lost control of my car and only able to stop them by pulling the handbrake.
so for precaution, should move the car with engine running or maybe with ignition on will do.

2) never ever leave thumb drive attached to the usb port when not in use. mine after 2 months seldom take out the drive from the port, now the thumb drive becoming dumb drive. i think spoilt already. actually it was stated earlier in the manual that we should not practice leave them attached when starting the car. this could result in damage to the thumb drive. havent check yet on the usb port. pray hard it is working fine and only the thumb drive spoilt.

I only left my USB in the port for a day or 2. Nothing wrong.

1) Think most brakes operate with brake pumps, so if your engine is not on, your brakes would kinda feel hard to engages. Applies to most cars. Try leaving your car in motion and engine killed. You will feel the brake is not operating well.

ya. i also think like that before. now suddenly spoilt. maybe time to change new thumb drive la.haha
luckily its just old 512mb thumb drive..

the problem is we used to brake with BAS on (for SX). so its very difference feeling when press the pedal with BAS and without BAS.
coz i feel like floor the brake pedal already but the car still moving forward. hehe

Finally I got my Forte on Friday..
2:45pm - went JPJ to settle the registration
4:30pm - collected my Spicy Red 1.6sxfrom show room
5:30pm - sent to tinted
9:30pm - drove home my Forte

You're lucky that they willing to do the tinted for you. Mine doesn't, have to wait till next Friday only can go do the tinted.

mine is on 31 dec (deposit) and 15 jan (downpayment).
by the time of booking my sa said still got 1st batch stock and can get within 1 week..
then sold my car.. no car to work..
afterward story u know la.. then everyday i gav him a warming call..

weird.. when check on PC the thumb drive is fine.
then put back into usb slot in the car then able to read them back. hmmmm..
not sure what was wrong earlier.. (yesterday it shows could not read USB)

Walau, if your 512MB is old, then my 256MB is ancient!
Try a car with ABS & BAS & a car without. Got difference. When I first drove a Myvi, thought the brakes were good. After driving the Forte, went back to the Myvi, needed to press more to brake.

gee..everyone's getting their forte this week n next week...dont know when its gonna arrive here sigh, need to wait for shipment to srwk.

Finally after almost 3 month (booked mine 1.6SX on 26/11/2009) received Si Putih yesterday. i feel like . today heading to Kuantan for short holiday vacation . Mod done change Naza emblem to King Loong (TQ Phelix) as well as the wheel sticker (TQ KFC). Bro Titarium ask you SA not to install the wheel cap coz it so easy for you to fix the sticker and spary it with clear coat. now i'm truely fortezen
