but different viscosity motor oil may perform better based on the operating environment.1st u say envr temp not effect engine oil but not u post it does?
2nd viscosity 30 vs 40 or 50 u know the diff right?
3rd if the CVVT mechanism needs an oil to perform in 30 range and u recommend higher to forte members are u doing them an intelligent favor?
4th u know why some ppl messed up their MIVEC or VTEC engines? simply cause they save a few bucks & used wrong oil specs same with ppl that tot any cheap atf can work for CVTs.
my answer is still the same cause i've tested 5k 8k 10k 12k with mineral & semi-syn and see 1st hand the drained results. also diff when engine is opened. when u open up its nice inside even after 100k if u follow scheduled maintenance with the right oil. anyway i leave it to members to mess up their engines themselves none of my business...
Added on March 8, 2010, 6:29 amwhen they mean downgrade its downgrade from SUSHI to KIMCHI lar u guys missed the point lor!
bro KFC, relax~~ some people here may know bits and pieces and "expert" advise from frens, but we all know you speak from experience and facts.

it's recommended in the manual book, so whoever wants to try other oil let them lor~~ if shit happens we know it's definitely didn't come from you nor the book.
