During normal driving, ESC works in the background, continuously monitoring steering and vehicle direction. ESC compares the driver's intended direction (by measuring steering angle) to the vehicle's actual direction (by measuring lateral acceleration, vehicle rotation (yaw), and individual road wheel speeds).

ESC only intervenes when it detects loss of steering control, i.e. when the vehicle is not going where the driver is steering. This may happen, for example, when skidding during emergency evasive swerves, understeer or oversteer during poorly judged turns on slippery roads, or hydroplaning. ESC calculates (since all states are not readily available, this calculation is actually an "estimation" according to the control terminology) the direction of the skid, and then applies the brakes to individual wheels asymmetrically in order to create torque about the vehicle's vertical axis, opposing the skid and bringing the vehicle back in line with the driver's commanded direction. Additionally, the system may reduce engine power or operate the transmission to slow the vehicle down.

ESC can work on any surface, from dry pavement to frozen lakes. It reacts to and corrects skidding much faster and more effectively than the typical human driver, often before the driver is even aware of any imminent loss of control. In fact, this led to some concern that ESC could allow drivers to become overconfident in their vehicle's handling and/or their own driving skills. For this reason, ESC systems typically inform the driver when they intervene, so that the driver knows that the vehicle's handling limits have been approached. Most activate a dashboard indicator light and/or alert tone; some intentionally allow the vehicle's corrected course to deviate very slightly from the driver-commanded direction, even if it is possible to more precisely match it.

I think the full back number plate will be better than the small frame...
*
Actually i wanted that at first (something like Civic/City) since the shop can custom cut for me, but dont know whether there will be too much black plastic cos my number has 3 digits only ... so stick to the frame. BTW, anyone has changed to full back plate please share the photos and make us drool.gif

A dumb question, before I book the car, it says there is an active headrest, when I check the manual, it says can be push or pull 3 directions but I can't figure out how to do it. Is active headrest only apply to 2.0?

I thought the ESC suppose to kick in when the car going-to skid, it will balance back my cornering.. but it didnt happen... i had to manually brake..
*
Bro, please do not try the ESC that way ... why? ... cos you are suppose to look at the road when u take sharp corner at 110KM/h and not on the meter to see if ESC is blinking ... to me ESC is almost like an airbag ... hope that i never have to use it and its for emergency only nod.gif

Active Headrest is a safety feature, that prevent whiplash injury, not a system for you to adjust your headrest actively

I think not really, my car has Active Headrest for the safety and it has the tilting headrest to support my neck. but it is too high for my wife though.

Bro saimatkong, the blue foam on ur door is to prevent banging of door right? it's meant to be taken out or leave it there? Coz blue color doesn't seem to match? hehe

Checked with my SA today for 2.0 status and he started playing taichi...

Telling he can't do anything, he said he also calling HQ everyday, ask me call HQ myself if i want check status, coz he oso dunno.

From "you sure can get b4 CNY" to "I try to get b4 CNY" to "Mostly thursday or friday CNY that week" to "end of february" to "i also cannot do anything"

haha, i dunno to laugh or cry, some more he made me sell my car b4 cny so can fetch 'better' price. Sigh~~~

Better remove the form fast, some said it might leave a mark after some period of time due to sun light effect to the paint. Not sure true or not but I removed it on the 1st day I got my car.

Polarg bodykit.

http://killerbee21dell.trustpass.alibaba.c..._Body_kits.html

I went to polarg factory in Sg Chua before CNY on thursday. Damn ulu place..At first think this should be the another fraud agent  mad.gif after travel led first time to the location...it took me 1 n 1/2hours from Sg chua...to find the place... rclxub.gif  Eh...They do have this Factory in Malaysia.

I bump in to the Managing Director Macrolite in Malaysia while he is inspecting the skirt on P.Persona and is leaving the factory already...

We have a nice talk and discussion..45min..

Polarg singapore is the marketing arm for Macrolite. Most products are done in Malaysia and channel out to sell in Singapore. The bodykit  they post it on alibaba by Polarg are the new enhancement which do not have fitting problem.

Not  like some Singapore Owner have the defect like this (First batch from Taiwan Factory )

I think most of us are used to the low type head rest thinking to rest the neck on them. its actually the wrong position to rest our head and is dangerous during an accident. the proper place is on the back of our head and not the bottom neck. Saab Volvo were the ones using them 1st. most Conti cars are using bigger size seats therefore we will feel its much higher for us Asians. Also active headrest is not tilt adjustable. TA is another component and Forte didn't have that.

user posted image
Toyota’s newly developed Active Headrest system promises to reduce the possibility of neck injury during low-speed, rear impacts. A sensor built into the seat’s backrest recognizes when the occupant’s lower back presses against the backrest, thus triggering the upper unit to activate the head restraint. The head restraint activates diagonally 30mm upwards and 25mm forwards to quickly catch the back of the head. This can reduce severity of whiplash injury by 10-20%.

Seriously don't like the services provided by NAZA...after seeing so many ppl already drove their forte happily balik Kampung for Cny and my one still not yet arrived!!!! Arghh...the stupid SA keep on drag drag and drag...
from Mid of Jan to end of Jan ..from end of Jan to early Feb , form erly Feb to b4 cny..and now..to after cny and now to end of Feb..

Is only 1.6...all the loan, dp, plate all done..( as a customer, i need to do all this for the SA, as if the SA is buying the car and i'm the one selling the car)....

with all done..very unproductive and very inefficient shown by the SA, the SA claims that, NAZA HQ Admin need 2-3 days to get all the documents ready..once ready will need 2-3 days to get registered the car...

3 Month...today is the 3rd month since booking the forte.. and i still cant get my car...

SCREW NAZA....!!! i would have cancel it at the first place ..so i wont have to go through all this.. NAZA the worst car dealer in Malaysia...A big time show stopper for KIA ...

I will tahan my anger until i get my forte..then i will screw big time the NAZA to KIA Korea...
