Hi! To all pc taiko,i have questions,
Can i watch astro on my pc?and at the sametime i can use my pc,which mean if i want to watch astro, just switch it,then if i want to use pc,then swicth it back to desktop. So i can use either pc or to watch astro program.
Cuz my gtx 260+ have the s-video connector and so does the astro decoder.
can i just simply connect them by the s-video cable and then watch astro on my pc?
Thanks notworthy.gif

I think you just want to watch Astro on your PC's monitor, right?Than you'll need to get an analog RCA,multi input convertor box to VGA/HDMI/DVI output. Some older Ati card has S-video in/out,then just get a s-video cable to connect Astro decoder to monitor.
If you have Astro B-yond (lucky bugger) then just use HDMI cable lor.

actually i just want to watch astro in my room while others are watching outside even watching the same channel.

yup. you have 2 solution
1. buy a tv box and connect directly to ur monitor. more expensive, RM150++
2. by tv tuner, connect to cpu, cpu need to be on. cheaper, pci type around RM50, usb type almost RM100

some grahic card do provide tv in and output, but most of them provide output only

dun forget u have to make sure ur cable long enuf to go from ur astro decoder in living room into ur room smile.gif
