QUOTE(Enclave Recruit @ Jun 24 2010, 12:50 AM) Damn right. My Saga came with Ducaro tyres and when there's a downpour, the car slides around a bit hahaha. Freaked me out a couple of times. YA MAN! RON 97 is good! Felt that it's more fuel efficient too.If you guys are planning to drive on the highway very often, do change your tyres to Michelin PS3. P/S - Today is the first time I'm using RON 97 Shell V-Power. WOW, really felt the difference. My car's gear changes are smoother and I don't need to step on the gas pedal too much for power. Gonna start using V Power from now on. I've been feeding RON 95 poison to my car for 8 months sheesh... |

Anyone got change HU?
I'm choosing between Pioneer DEH-7250SD and DEH-5250SD Please comment, the above HU owners are the most welcome to comment on the pros and cons! Thanks! |

Well,
My personal opinion is, Alpine give better SQ. But for Alpine, you need to get above mid to higher end models, the lower end models doesn't make much of a difference as compare to the normal HU. Not very sure of Kenwood HU, last time I had one, and the SQ was very bad... I personally prefer SQ and stagings, but occasionally i do BOOM a bit. So my setup needs to be very flexible in terms of bass. Changed my front speakers to Meastro Component, German brand, took the entry level model. So far, I quite like it cause even with Ori Saga BLM HU, it can kick some hell of a mid bass! But too bad our Ori HU doesn't have much flexibility on the SQ tunings... kekeke Added on August 1, 2010, 1:06 amInstalled the Component set at EA Auto, done by HowieChoo http://www.german-maestro.de/EN/as6508.htm But like he told me, what he can see from my characteristics, I'll upgrade soon. Hell yeah! LOL but only if I have the extra money the next time This post has been edited by Newgen: Aug 1 2010, 01:06 AM |

Anyone into ICE for BLM?
Wanna ask about good HU ler... I got in my mine now is: 1. Pioneer DEH-P80RS2 2. Alpine CDA-9887 3. Kenwood KDC-X8016BT All also can do active setup. All also got Time Alignment All also budget of below RM1.5k can get... Need advise badly! Added on August 10, 2010, 1:04 pmAdditionally, my choice of music is very wide, no specific tastes, I listen to all kinds of music. Hindi also ngam if it's nice. hahaha And I prefer to have iPod/iPhone support, and USB support is optional. Ofcause, SQ have to be nice but don't need to be TOP OF THE WORLD lah... hehe This post has been edited by Newgen: Aug 10 2010, 01:04 PM |

QUOTE(Wuakaka @ Aug 10 2010, 09:26 PM) Actually, I kinda second what coolkwc said about the active and passive. You see, for a system with Amps, Passive you are relying on the passive crossover, or other cross over that you pay for extra money. Where active system, you have 3 or more pairs of RCA output, and from there you can play with it by adjusting from the HU... That's what i got to understand from reading. OF CAUSE, both the above settings have pros and cons... ANYWAY! The main point here is not to argue about active or passive.... the point is actually, I've chosen to have a active system so i can have more to play and learn. So now it's only narrow it down to those few choices... PLEASE ADVISE ACCORDINGLY! Thanks! |

QUOTE(xiong @ Aug 10 2010, 07:51 PM) Hi there!Actually, depends on what you want to do... For example: Like me, i've only change the front speaker to better ones, using component set at the front, which the HU is powerful enough to drive them. If you're getting cheaper Coaxial Speakers, they might be good enough too, it's just that you will getting what you pay for, you can't expect too much out of it. Just what I've learn from when I was driving my old 1991 Saga till now, the new BLM Happy sourcing! |
