Last month I did the 40K major service for my car. Sent it to the authorized dealer instead of the EON service center because I got no time.

They found out the both of my rear brake pump is not working and have jammed. I have to forked out RM70 to replace each of the pump.

Anyone have same or similar issue before? I was quite shock because all this while (it's anywhere after 30K service) I was driving with both of the rear brakes were not working. Luckily, most of the I only drive alone and rarely bring any passenger.

My issue is why the difference between Service center and Service Booklet. Why is ATF change at 20k and not 40k as stated in the booklet. Is the booklet wrong, if the booklet is wrong than they are misleading us. Why you say ATF change at 20k, because the service center says so or proton says so, if Proton said that the booklet is wrong than they must inform us, this is our rights as consumer.

I just service my Rondo for 20k, they do not change the Spark plug or the ATF because their manual says spark plug change every 30k and ATF every 40k. They strictly follow the booklet. Please survey other car makes maintenance schedule and you will discover that most recommended ATF changes at 40k.

The point I'm trying to raise is :
1. When they want to sell the car they say that service is at 10k and whatever schedule service as stated in the service booklet, when you buy the car and sent ii for service than they say the booklet is wrong. Must service every 5k. This is misleading the customer.
2. Car manufacturers are coming up with low maintenance cars. This is made possible by the advancement in Technology. Car manufacturers are coming up with engine that can last 300k without oil change. But proton is making high maintenance cars. Sell cheap cars but charge on maintenance.

u mean what? spring or abs?just some intro, sapura is actually the company that setup R3 proton. and on the other hand, they co-venture with KYB (kayaba). so if u are ok with that, i will bring in the price list for LYN in this thread only.not open for public market.we bring stuff in by bulk only.

10-30 is the limit for our ride, go lower than that, ur car might get heat up easily.mineral is ok, but depends on ur personal preference.some may think it is a universal oil which is quite cheap and with a new ride, it dun really match the needs. semi is the perfect match. full syn aint delicious for our ride as the tappet sound will go very loud over time.

never and i won't.my SC mech told me that they are in this field for years and they recommend me the best.i even can bring my own engine oil so no point they recommend me expensive oils, right? my ride will retain with 15-40 till 5 years end and maybe end up with 20-50.

got difference one...now what you are using? im using wai heng extractor and piping, still not satisfied and looking for the best setup

if i were you i will get hotbits or powerzone full exhaust system. save time and money rather than going back to exhaust shop again and again.

for hotbits full piping, they are fully coated. can last longer and not so hot than normal galvanize steel

FC, not much difference, if control you foot..it is really save. RPM feels lighter, mostly becaus of the less restricted exhaust flow. most important is properly tuned extractor that has scavenging effect that helps improve acceleration alot. say for 0-100 on stock you will get 11secs..most probably after mod exhaust you get a 1 sec faster?

ok, actually piping not so important la...because stock piping is nice already, change extractor is good enough

no need 1.6 gearbox la...acceleration not as good as 1.3 gearbox...ecu same actually..engine ok la..still new...

of course it will work on NA engine no problem

with this thing u can retard or advance engine timing..with proper tuning of course..

retard - power comes in high rpm

advance - power comes early in low rpm

i think you are doing the right thing..but dun expect it to accelerate like 2.0L car...

project was on stock auto gearbox. power is right up there with 1.6 persona. the only problem was gear ratio all go haywire. stock 1.3 ratio is short but after conversion done, car rev till 6k - 7k before gear change.  not sure how long the stock gasket can last.
fun thing 110km/h to 185km/h goes as fast as cps. with engine sound louder than thunderstorm 

about the cam pulley, make sure to get the reputable brand and a good workshop to install.
else, there could be an unpleasant sound. but this thing does increase the car's power. can't expect much from 1.3 though.
else, beside cam pulley, good air filter, 4-2-1 tuned length exhaust, high cam is another option
