I had the same problem like u as well. It happens to me twice. Last week, it took me more than 4 times to push the key to START for more than 10 seconds for it to start. Before this, so forumers said that it might be the battery causing the problem. My car is almost 1 year plus. I don't think the battery would so fast dies off even though its maintenance free. I think it should last at least 2 years. Going to bring my car to SC to let them check. See whether is my battery low or starter problem.

try peeling off the maintenance free sticker & check if it is maintenance free or need to add distilled water......u might b in 4 a surprise.... nod.gif

**use shell ron97 v-power prior to genting trip
**install noise insulation material on the fron bonnet cover. at least, it lessened the noise in minimal way.
**use better drop in air filter for slight increase of power / 4-2-1 extractor.

the sound was prolly' from the brake. i do notice the rear drum brake is quite noisy. saga brake is quite weak.
are you still using the stock tyre? the lousy stock tyre does contribute to the bad ride(due to bad traction and grip) overall.
*
Pumped a full tank of Shell Ron 97 v-power & headed to Genting straight....engine noise not a problem...& oledy using redline drop in filter.......extractor not yet..in d midst of scheduling.

I think my Sunny B11 does better than BLM when climbing hills...but then it's a manual la.... (SIGH).... doh.gif

I was thinking of replacing all d 4 brake pads to Bendix Metal King Titanium hmm.gif Wonder if it will cost me a bom......

Nevertheless.....I appreciate ur reply, bro yngwie.

nah, should be on ron97 v-power at least 3 days prior to genting trip. this will allow the engine / ecu to adapt to the higher ron grade.
there is no immediate effect feel' even if it's almost an empty tank.
changing to performance brake pad is a waste of money. remember; bendix mkt is a performance brake pad. it will only works well in certain temperature but that isn't a problem.
bendix metal king need to be paired with performance disc brake for maximum performance. while paired with stock saga disc, all you get is more dust and worn out disc at a lot more higher rate. btw, saga rear brake is of drum type. bendix does not produce a performance brake shoe.
beside changing to better / wider profile tyre, rear disc brake conversion might help or dual layer brake servo for solid feel.
another option is using twinpot stopper at the front but this will require at least 15" wheels.
there are only 2 thing that matter most when it comes to brake stopping capability; the amount of caliper, and the size of the disc.
anything else will only compromise on fade effect.
*
shocking.gif bro...I didn't know that! luckily I havent' replace it wif Bendix.....however there must be a brake pad brand that is better paired wif BLM right? doh.gif Problems after problems......(haiz).

Widening will sacrifice my FC....oledy d FC is not that good. Aiyoyo! How la....?

I think my car had d same problem wif Torresism which 1 time after service...car got instant power....after 5k km...service another time.....straight away d previous power gain kaput.....till now after yet anopther service wif Denso IR somemore...gain back a little........ shakehead.gif

actually, the standard bosch / mintex brake pad is already good enough. perhaps, you could consider braided brake hose upgrade which
eliminate the bubbling thus give a better braking feel.
it's normal on saga. problem was we did not know which brand of semi-synth was the proton service center pour in.
if you noticed, car wil return a slightly good fc after every service.
195/55/r15 should be fine. still return around 0.18/km on ron95.
consider investing on voltage stabilizer. it's quite effective in it's own way.
*
Thinking of doing up d brake hose too......About d engine oil, I thought so...but d recent service I had my dad witnessing d mechanic change d oil I purchase from a regular spare part shop.....still not as good as d 1st time. sad.gif

Bendix Metal king titanium brake that can pair with stock disc rotor, enjoy better stopping power and of cause disc rotor will worn out faster.

Bendix Metal King Titanium Pads are manufactured using a genuine Superior Metallic Formulation - SMF. SMF is a combination of unique friction compounds which offers supreme braking performance for your prestige vehicle. Whether you are in the city, on the freeway or carrying a full load, Bendix Metal King Titanium has excellent fade resistance and extended pad life. For truer grip in repeated and high temperature applications you get full control and confident braking.

Bendix Metal King Titanium Pads feature a unique Titanium Stripe to provide instant friction and no bedding in. It means positive pedal feel and sure stopping power from the minute you drive out of the workshop. No bedding-in also means considerable hours saved each year.

Bendix Metal King are well famous brand in world and most australian using this pad for their stock car with stock caliper why our blm cant?

Added on July 15, 2010, 12:21 amI would suggest to change fully sync at rating 5w30 or 10w30 and invest some electronic device like pivot vs-e, spark earth, ignition earth cable, iridium plug, drop in filter. For brake pad, bendix mkt, mintex are good enough, bosch brake pad consider as oem spec which better then stock lil bit.
*
Actually...my friend who is working in Volvo also asked me 2 change to Bendix.....but now confused. Last time I asked if I were to use 5-30 or 10-30.....someone advised me not to risk it as d viscoscity is not suitable.....Now I'm even more confused.......

vmad.gif tension!
