Just changed my halogen bulbs from stock yellow to white.
White halogen bulbs seem to have a smaller radius than yellow halogen bulbs.
Anyone can explain?

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Apr 4 2010, 11:43 PM) Hey, how much for that? so the outcome is OK? brighter than ori bulb or not? I paid RM 79 for it (H4 12v 60/55w which is the same as ori bulb only different color). White halogen bulb looks brighter but its light radius is not as wide as ori bulb. I guess that's a trade off About the radius, different bulb got different filamen position, and the position will affect the focus point, thats why the radius also change. I learn this from the torch light bulb, so i think same case for ur car bulb also. This is my concern point, the ori bulb low beam is very even on road, just not enuf bright for me. I scare after change it will become uneven (can see the bright spot). Nevertheless, white halogen bulb looks much better imo. Almost everyone is using yellow bulb, quite bored with it already hehe. P/S - I almost bought a pair of OSRAM yellow halogen bulbs (Made in Germany) which cost RM 159. Yellow color but much brighter than ori bulb with far radius. But my bro advised me against it so I changed my mind. He told me Proton's circuitry is very problematic. This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Apr 5 2010, 01:12 AM |

3 months ago, my fuel consumption was 24.5 cents for every km.
Fast forward to today, my fuel consumption is 20 cents for every km. The Saga's fuel consumption improves after all as time passes by 100% city driving in Penang Mileage 3000+ km. Car serviced only once. |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Apr 10 2010, 11:51 PM) ayieazz Bro, I just recently changed my stock halogen bulbs to white halogen bulbs (same wattage). It will not void the car's warranty right?u din change ur engine formation, so wont void as u just add-in.if u scare of voiding stuff, better dun think of modding.it's the safest way to keep out of trouble. QUOTE(SiuYi @ Apr 14 2010, 09:27 AM) Invader Zim Uhh, the brightness of the bulb can be adjusted?use headlamp 2nd level at night.even without the high beam, if there are cars from opposite flashing u, means the degree of ur bulb is not accurate in ur headlamp, try adjust it nighttime at ur own garage.the right bulb may have been higher than it shud be which causes it to shoot right to the opposite car. |

If I upgrade to 15 inch rims, could the wheels hit the Saga's fender? I noticed the car's wheel arches are kinda narrow.
Also, I'm planning to get 2 pairs of Michelin Pilot Sport 3. Are those tyres overkill for the Saga? This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Apr 28 2010, 08:44 AM |

QUOTE(boonping @ May 20 2010, 04:16 PM) Hi wanna ask BLM owner here, why my car "auto lock" function sometimes work sometimes dont? Something like the car door would lock after certain period if the key is not inserted. Any idea? Its a safety feature. If you don't open any door for 30 secs after unlocking the car, the car will lock by itself. Pretty neat eh |

An unknown insect has been leaving a trail of scratch-like marks on my car which is difficult to remove. Anyone encountered this before?
Had to use Soft 99 a few times to remove the trail. |

QUOTE(torresism @ May 31 2010, 09:10 PM) I give you my car as an example: my car mileage 48kkm, i owned it since september of 2008. so far, never breakdown (touchwood), changed IAFM once (maybe due to the first batch IAFM design @ 15kkm mileage), no power window failure (still running good), but claimed warranty for door rubber, passenger seat switch, gear "spring", whole speedometer FOC. Other than that, no problem. my service bill is range from rm150 - rm390 (depends on major service or minor one) but frankly, if i got more budget, i will go for persona.. I chose for Saga BLM is because of: 1. cheaper price 2. modification , especially for exterior view 3. i like its centre console unit over Myvi.. |

QUOTE(sonotme @ Jun 14 2010, 07:20 PM) had some problem starting up my car today. I tried starting but all I hear is the thing turning but no engine sound. then I had to call the mechanic n he manage to start it by pumping the pedal lots of times. he said could be the sensor failed? anyone experienced it before? Faulty sensor is becoming a common problem for Saga BLM. Been hearing about this problem a lot on the forum lately. |

QUOTE(smokey @ Jun 23 2010, 11:41 AM) QUOTE(yngwie @ Jun 23 2010, 12:22 PM) exactly! those factory fitted tyre of saga are pretty hopeless. worst in wet. ducaro or synergy or something. Damn right. My Saga came with Ducaro tyres and when there's a downpour, the car slides around a bit hahaha. Freaked me out a couple of times. that is the reason i straight away upgraded mine to 15" c.drive; even though i seldom drive it. i've had driven friends' saga with 90% ducaro tread. during wet driving, while braking at 60km/h, the wheels lock while the tyre still skid forward and take quite a distance to halt. a sign of worst wet grip. which is quite frightening for a novice driver. argument; can't expect more, saga is cheap. then, we need to fork out some $$$ to ensure the tyre is up to the mark If you guys are planning to drive on the highway very often, do change your tyres to Michelin PS3. P/S - Today is the first time I'm using RON 97 Shell V-Power. WOW, really felt the difference. My car's gear changes are smoother and I don't need to step on the gas pedal too much for power. Gonna start using V Power from now on. I've been feeding RON 95 poison to my car for 8 months sheesh... This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Jun 24 2010, 12:57 AM |

QUOTE(SiuYi @ Jun 24 2010, 11:57 AM) I was told V-Power is the same price as RON 97 right now. At the petrol station, its known as V-Power 97. They even gave me a nice signage for using the premium fuel. This post has been edited by Enclave Recruit: Jun 24 2010, 02:29 PM |
