well, as now we can see, AMD64 is a hot stuff now..
n LinuX is quite hot for 32bit platforms..

so, anyone is using Linux on AMD64 platform , share ur comment on distro/OS u use.. smile.gif

ok, juz installed Ferora C3..

juz to share some probs here...
the druid disk partition manager doesnt work...
only can format..
u need to use partition manager from other distro...

beside that, looks same like FC2.. still mp3 unsupported..

me first time using fedora3.

just finish dl the software...
im using amd64 platform, so gonna try install it later...
the mp3 still not support?
if for beginner use fedora3 ok rite?

do u guys hav any problem installing the JRE 64bit for FC3.

i can rpm install it, but the thg is the browser still can't display those applets
why?

its true basic codec in fc3 doesnt play mp3..
but if u install the rpm downloaded from anywhere, u can play it..
mak sure remove the xmms 1st before install new one..

as for java stuff, how to check? im linux noob too doh.gif

check ur browser plugins, c got the JRE/Java plugin or not

anyway, can oso check in the rpm list whether the JRE is installed, but i forgot the name, nid to go back n check first.

btw, i find fedora is not user friendly to nooBs ler...
until now, i still cant make totem watch movies sad.gif
dont have this lib la, that la ... sweat.gif

btw, anyone use ubuntu? i installed it once, but seems 'empty' ...

If you newbie in linux, you might wanna try mandrake or knoppix live CD. I would recomme Knoppix LiveCD because it will running in your system less than 5 mins and it simple.

Anway linux on 32bit here tongue.gif

yeah, agree that LiveCD is easy..
but as for me, been using fedora at computer lab for sometime, thats why wanna try at home too
